A Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

There's something definitely wrong with my AR-15! I can't figure it out.
According to the Los Angeles Times*, it should be "terroriz[ing] scores of police officers and civilians", but it has not yet done so. In fact, my youngest son wasn't even terrorized by it at age 9, proclaiming it his favorite gun to shoot.
It should be emitting "a seemingly endless spray of assault rifle bullets," but it won't. I still have to pull the trigger for each shot, and reload when the magazine's empty.
It simply refuses to "continue to proliferate". In fact, I'd love for it to generate a couple of offspring.
It isn't "felling innocent people from coast to coast", and doesn't seem to have any inclination to do so. That suits me fine, but I can't help but wonder if maybe it's testosterone-deficient. Or maybe it lacks adrenaline.
I'd ask "Times staff writers Jeff Brazil and Steve Berry", but their determination about "assault weapons" was that "The law has been outgunned." Given a quick review of the body-count statistics in recent "police-citizen encounters", that conclusion seems, to quote Bob Eucker, "just a little bit outside."
I was hoping maybe someone could help me.

Thanks!

John Taylor
