THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE
Number 45, May 1, 1999

Mr. Suprynowicz,

I read your excellent essay regarding the Columbine tragedy. I thought you might like to know that on today's show, Rosie O'Donnell said that "even though it's in the Constitution" there should be a law saying that "if you own a gun, you go to jail."

Her show's webpage is at www.rosieodonnell.com. I urge you to please go to the "contact Rosie" link at the bottom of the page and send her an e-mail advocating the cause for freedom.

Sincerely,

Anthony Cook

Hi --

I doubt I'll bother. But pulling out a few more pieces of the Bill of Rights, I wonder whether she'd agree that "If you go to church, you should go to jail," and "If you print a newspaper, you should go to jail"?

Except for which, I might tentatively agree with her, with only one caveat -- that being that we must first prioritize the ORDER in which we'll be jailing people who own guns: "First, prove to me you've put all the police officers who own guns, in jail. Then, prove to me you've put all the soliders and Marines who own guns, in jail. Then, prove to me you've put all the criminals who own guns, in jail. Then I'll consider whether I might be willing to give up MY guns ... OK?"
