Racism

There was a time when the greatest taboo of intellectualism was racism. During that time, great strides were made toward the end of racism everywhere where the political milieu allowed it. Unfortunately, as soon as the end of racism was in, albeit far, sight, the poitical situation snapped back into its former state of rigid enforcement of racism.

Why was this? When the people of the world who were unable or unused to earning self-respect realized that their greatest opportunity to feel superior was near an end, these people, who also happened to be the world's most powerful politicians, decided to use their political poer to curtail the coming tolerance.

As with most social reforms of late, they utilized the excuse of alleviating a problem to make a maneuver that but exacerbates it. The new claim was a scam, one so transparent that its like had never been seen, which bore the absurd and monumentally inappropriate name of "Affirmative Action." This vile creation's sole purpose was to move the world back into the racist war-zone that it had once been. It took the form of "levitation to equality" of people whose ancestors, supposedly, had been discriminated against because of their race. The supposed theory behind it was that these people were, somehow, disadvantaged by the suffering of their ancestors and that the unjustice done to their ancestors could be undone by perpetrating further injustice on the descendants of the unjust.

Firstly, this theory's basic premise is that people of a certain race are in situations determined by their race. Of course, couched in political doublespeak, this was not apparent to many supporters of this new racism.

Secondly, the idea that racism will not be increased by creating more racism is absurd.

As soon as the Progressives regurgitated this inanity, it became the great vogue and was immediately put into place by governmental programs world-wide. Public schools taught it as the social norm and a desirable thing, and, soon, they had forced its popularity on so many students that businesses and universities rushed to implement this so-popular new concept in their own business plans. Jobs and placements in schools began to be filles by people who were not the most qualified for them, simply because of their race, and more qualified people were expelled and denied jobs and placements entirely because of their race. The decline n total quality that this caused is not easily measurable.

In these times, modern Progressives have taken their program one step further: they have begun calling opponents of "Affirmative Action" racist! This gargantuan attack on common sense is perpetrated largely by people who actually believe the arguments for "Affirmative Action" themselves, unwitting carriers-on of the horrible legacy of racists of the past.

Nowadays, the argument is taking place on new terms. The modern Progressives assume that it is desirable to have "minorities" in higher or more positions than they currently are. Their minorities include races, sexes, people of certain religions, people of certain nationalities, and people of certain sexual orientations. This is, very clearly, racist, sexist, et cetera in that it purports that people are superior candidates for a certain condition to others because of their race, sex, etc.. In an incredibly foolish circularity, these Progressives counter arguments against "Affirmative Action" with admonishments that abandonments of "Affirmative Action" caused reductions in the amount of "minorities" in certain positions. They skip, of course, over such trivial premises as that having "minorities" in certain places is desirable.

The universities are awarding degrees to some who do not most deserve them, and their statement is becoming worthless. People are denied recognition because "Affirmative Action" kept them from getting a diploma, and people are granted positions that they are not competent for because they fileld a school's racial quota. As this continues, more and more businesses will find it more difficult to hire "members of minorities" because their diplomas are no longer necessarily certificates of competency.

As "Affirmative Action" spreads into even more areas, we will have a choice: to fight again against racism, or to let the world subside into its former state of feudalistic tribalism.
