Madeleine Albright says that the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children during our embargo was a price worth paying.

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) � The father of one of the victims of the Columbine High School shooting massacre was arrested during a demonstration outside National Rifle Association headquarters.

[...] [Tom] Mauser said he was protesting because NRA president Charlton Heston hasn't responded to a letter he sent about the massacre in Littleton, Colo.

[...] NRA spokesman Bill Powers said he was not familiar with the letter but acknowledged it might have been better for the NRA to respond.

SUPPOSE THE GUY HAD A TAC NUKE IN HIS CAR?

A Carver man is in trouble with the law Thursday after allegedly attacking a 73-year-old driver in a fit of road rage. Police said that 31-year-old driver Joseph Salamone walked up to Robert Weiss' car and punched Weiss in the face through an open window. NewsCenter 5's Kelley Tuthill reported that Weiss is OK, but won't soon forget the incident.

"I just kept thinking to myself, 'Suppose the guy had a gun in his car,'" Weiss said.

Weiss was driving up to an intersection near his home. He drove up to stop sign and stopped. He looked out of his left window, saw no other car coming and pulled out into the intersection.

The next thing he knew, another driver came up behind him.

"The car in question went flying by me over a double yellow line. He stopped at a red light further down. He had to, there were cars in front of him. So I stopped and shook my head and made a gesture like 'what a dumb thing to do' at which he hopped out of his car and came back so quickly I didn't have a chance and didn't think to roll up my window. He just hauled off and socked me and he hit me in the side of my head," Weiss said.

Weiss sat stunned and uninjured, while two other drivers subdued Salamone.

"His story is a little different. He claims that I grabbed his shirt, which is ridiculous. He claims that I used foul language, which is ridiculous and that I used the finger. I've never done that in my life," Weiss said.

Salamone has been charged with assault and battery on a person over 60, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and negligent driving.

"He has a lot of years ahead of him. He's going to get himself in deep trouble if he doesn't learn to curtail his behavior," Weiss said.
