Prostitutes and Politicians

It's been a few weeks since I've submitted an article to TLE, and just doing some browsing on the internet, I decided it was time to speak out again, just to express my opinion of some of our so-called leaders.

It seems as if, once a politician is elected, he or she becomes convinced that he or she is now a member of the elite, somehow better than the rest of us. By some Divine miracle, they are now imbued with such wisdom and foresight that they now know just what is best for each and every one of us.

Let's look at a few examples, shall we?

RFID chips: For some reason, politicians and some major corporations seem to feel that it is better if each of us is branded, as cattle are. They use the excuse that it is necessary to track children in case of kidnapping, or perhaps that important medical information is immediately available in the event of an accident or emergency. Or maybe they will haul out the big guns, and say it is necessary to fight the war on terror.

Excuse me, but since when is it necessary to track and number and locate innocent people, solely because you are completely incapable of finding the guilty ones?

Gun Control: This has several facets, but let's just examine a few minor issues. .50 BMG caliber rifles. As of this date, as far as I know, not one time has one of these rifles been used in the commission of any type of crime. Yes, they are extraordinarily powerful weapons. So What???!!!!! Once again, the politicians, especially in California and Illinois, have implicitly stated that in their opinion, if you own a gun, you are a criminal.

Why would this be? What are these politicians so afraid of, that they are terrified of the idea that law-abiding citizens might have weapons? What have they done, that the mere idea of an armed citizenry terrifies them? What crimes are they guilty of, that they are afraid an armed citizenry might take some action against them for? It is my opinion that every single anti-gun politician is guilty of at least one major crime, something that they are afraid of retribution for. Just as an example, their very anti-gun activism is prima-facie evidence of treason and/or malfeasance, violation of their oath of office. It is also very evident that these people do not trust their employers, the people of the various districts which elected them, and wish to disenfranchise them as soon as possible.

PATRIOT act, Intelligence Reform Bill, and the no-fly list: I'm lumping all of these together, since they all had the same impetus, the war on terror, and the same result, the loss of individual rights, rights guaranteed by the Constitution. I seem to recall several civil rights cases, back in the bad old days, which established that any individual, not a convicted felon or fugitive from justice, had the right to travel anywhere in the United States, for any reason, without having to justify that travel to any form or type of government authority. Hmmm, I also seem to remember that our so-called justice system is supposed to offer the presumption of innocence to all, unless and until it is proved otherwise, beyond any reasonable doubt. So where does this all fit in with the "no-fly" list, or Herr Standartenfuhrer Lautenberg's new proposal to treat anyone who is on a "watch" list as a convicted felon, despite the now-notorious inaccuracy of those watch lists?

So, these few examples seem quite sufficient, along with all the other items that so many of us know about, to prove that we are getting screwed by our politicians, and we're not even getting kissed!

So how does this relate to prostitution? Very simple, actually, especially to any of you who have read Time Enough for Love or The Notebooks of Lazarus Long, by Robert A. Heinlein. Without going into detail, one quotation in there refers to the honesty and competency of prostitutes in relation to other, more "respectable" professions. The Grand Master came to the conclusion that there was a much higher percentage of honest and competent whores than there were plumbers, lawyers, or professors. You know, I think the Admiral was right. At least when you get screwed by a prostitute, you get exactly what you paid for. By the standard of honesty, I think it might be better to get rid of all the politicians, along with several other professions I can think of, right off the top of my head, and make the prostitutes the leaders of society! They'd probably be better at it than some of those who occupy the position at present!

A whore should be judged by the same criteria as other professionals offering services for pay—such as dentists, lawyers, hairdressers, physicians, plumbers, etc. Is she professionally competent? Does she give good measure? Is she honest with her clients?

It is possible that the percentage of honest and competent whores is higher than that of plumbers and much higher than that of lawyers. And enormously higher than that of professors.
