The Freedom Pledge

I pledge my honor to the Bill of Rights, our precious national treasure. As the Bill is a fortress against tyranny, I will battle all tyrants. As the Bill protects liberty, I will live free.
As the Bill guards rights born within all humanity, I will defend the freedoms of future generations. With my life, my words, and my daily deeds, with a vision of what can be, I honor all of the Bill of Rights for all mankind.
—Aaron Zelman—JPFO

Ladies and gentlemen, I think it is time, and far past time, for all of us, as Americans, as free men and women, to stand up for freedom, with all that that entails. Many of us, if not most, have kind of coasted along, saying "Well, what can I do, I'm only one person?"

What you can do is this: Write your congresscritter. Be polite, but forceful. Let him or her or it know that you are watching their actions in relation to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and will vote, and donate, accordingly. Above all, do not make any threats or use foul language. You don't want to give the Gestapo any legal excuse to harass you.

Also, you can write letters to the editor of your local newspapers, and to your local TV stations. Again, be polite; express yourself articulately and very clearly. You don't want to come across as the local "nutjob".

Protest against rising taxes and government spending. What most people have forgotten is that there is no way that the govgoons can arrest all of us. There isn't that much space in the prison system. Besides, just the costs of prosecuting all of us would bankrupt the government (even faster than it is doing that on its own!) Not to mention the fact that it is the productive portion of society which is disgusted with government taxes and spending!

Be vocal, be outspoken, make some noise! Let the vast herds of Americans who are afraid to speak out know that there are others who feel the same way, and who are willing to stand up for what is right!

The one thing that you absolutely do not want to do is come across as a wild-eyed revolutionary. Do not make threats. Do not take any violent actions, except in defense of your own life, the lives of your family or friends, or your personal property.

It has often been said that had the Jews in Nazi Germany taken up arms in resistance to being sent to the concentration camps, the Nazi regime would have died a spectacularly bloody death, long before it was able to kill tens of millions of people, not just in the camps, but also in the bloody years of the war. There is spectacular proof of this in the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto. Starting with less weapons than would fill up the trunk of a compact car, a small number of Jews began to fight back against the Nazi oppressors, men armed with fully automatic weapons and all the panoply of modern war. We can learn a lot from this heroic and tragic episode. Had the Jews resisted earlier, each of them determined to take an honor guard to hell, it would have been much more difficult, if not impossible, to murder over six million of them, not to mention the millions of others murdered by this legally elected government! If Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, all those who were considered "disruptive elements" of society, which needed to be expunged, had all resisted, Hitler and his goons would soon have been hanging from lampposts, long before they could have plunged the world into chaos!

Ladies and gentlemen, I am not advocating armed resistance to the federal government, not yet, at least. I hope and pray that there is still time to bring this government back to its senses, before that becomes necessary. I ask each of you to do the same. Pray to whatever visualization of the Divine that you hold sacred that we do not descend into another civil war. We still haven't recovered from the last one, yet! On the other hand, should that course become necessary, it behooves each and every one of us to be prepared, to be armed, to have supplies of food and water, medical supplies, etc.

It is up to each and every one of us, as free citizens of the last, best hope for all mankind to live in freedom, to live each and every day the words of the Freedom Pledge. It is up to each of us to make our voices heard. It is up to each of us to make the fools, scoundrels, criminals and traitors in Washington realize that there will be consequences of their foolish and treasonous policies.

I invite you to join me in the quest to live free, in a free country once again!
