Neil Smith Ora por Tejas The following was posted as a comment to an NBC First Read article regarding Rick Perry's Prayer rally: Rick Perry has often inspired me to pray. I often pray that he will go away. I say this as Christian who supports the ideas of small government, low taxes, gun rights and other ideals he pretends to espouse. It is said that when Temujin burnt Samarkand he stated: "If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you." Neither Texas nor the United States have sinned great enough sins to deserve Rick Perry. All that said it must be admitted that prayer is all you can do when clobbered by a double whammy of heat and drought like Texas and other large chunks of the US are enduring. If you're a non believer apply the chicken soup principal (it couldn't hoit.). Oh yeah, and keep the ice, bottled water, and Gatorade coming. However, it would be a sin of presumption not to prepare better for the next scorcher. Bottom line, prayer good, Perry bad. Crazy Al

It is time and past time that the American Attorney General, the head of BATFE, the head of DEA, the head of the FBI, and others be charged with abusing their authority to make war against Mexico through operation GunWalker. Perhaps their interrogators in Mexico will share a soda pop or two with them* and convince them to admit that they did so at the direction of Barack Obama and with the connivance of Joe Biden, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi. For all intents and purposes the US Government was at secretly and illegally at war with Mexico. If Obama was in on it he is the greatest international criminal of the 21st Century. Was that worth reading? For years our liberal friends, now rebranded progressives, have pushed that we follow Britain's example. So, they want them US to have riots caused by intolerance, welfare dependent mobs angry because the government is too broke to keep up the payments and vigilantes coming out to defend their property because the police can't. Yeah. I thought we had already been through all that. Last I heard our objective was to prevent such. Now our British friends have shown us where the programs pushed by our progressives and conservatives, to be honest will lead us. Riots and a more repressive state, unassimilated minorities, disenfranchised young folk of all stripes, and people reverting to lynch law because there is no other around. BELLEVUE, WA—The Second Amendment Foundation today announced that Glock, Inc. has donated and pledged significant financial support to SAF's on-going litigation efforts in defense of firearms civil rights. SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb made the announcement, noting that Glock has now become the largest corporate contributor to the foundation, in recognition of the important legal efforts SAF has mounted and will continue to pursue. "I want to publicly and personally thank the management and ownership at Glock," Gottlieb said, "and all Glock employees who have made this possible. Specifically, I want to thank Glock Vice President Josh Dorsey and General Counsel Carlos Guevara for their involvement and for making this happen. "SAF's victory in McDonald v. Chicago has made all of this litigation against onerous state laws and municipal ordinances possible," he continued, "and it is imperative that we continue and expand our legal challenges with the greatest possible speed. "Glock's generous support comes at a critical time," Gottlieb added. "Most of our members and supporters make contributions in the $10 to $25 range, and Glock will be providing significant additional support in our efforts to win back firearms freedoms one lawsuit at a time." Gottlieb urged SAF supporters and all Americans who are concerned about their firearms freedoms to support Glock and other companies that support their Second Amendment rights. "There are times in the history of any movement, and in the lives of every person, when it is important to stand up and be counted," Gottlieb said. "Glock has stepped up to the plate when it really does count, and we will be eternally grateful for their generosity and their unwavering dedication to the Second Amendment."
