Letter from L. Neil Smith's Friend Dean Re: "Letter from Angela Zhang" Dear Editor, The letter you received from Angela Zhang purporting to be a domain name registrar is a scam. There has been no attempt to register the domain name you are using in China. Rather, the company in question is sending you a spam message to ask you to register a .cn or other domain with them. It is possible that they actually do domain registries, but it is very likely that you don't need a .cn domain. It is also possible that they want you to send them money, after which you won't ever get a domain from them. Regards, Jim Davidson
Was that worth reading? Of Troublesome Priests In December of 1170 Henry II of England stated, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest," or words to that effect. Four of his knights, Reginald FitzUrse, Hugh de Morville, William de Tracy, and Richard le Breton ( Wikipedia) murdered Becket. Henry claimed that wasn't what he meant and plausible deniability was invented. (Okay, so the concepts been around a lot longer.) Neither President Bush or President Oama have called for their critics or criticism of their regimes to be silenced. However, seems the Dixie Chicks career was not helped among white working class people for criticizing Bush and Hank wiliams Jr. lost his gig on Monday Night Football for saying harh things about our Presient and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. The Presidents didn't ask that their critics be silenced. They just were. The main stream media has raised it's coverage of Operation Gunwalker to a deafening whisper. They still try to pretend Ron Paul is not running for office and that to be honest the majority of intelligent comments made in the Republican debates are based on ideas Dr. Paul has been promoting since the Eighties.The President has not asked for this censorship, the MSM is doing so on it's own. At least Henry II had to ask people to silence his opponents. A.X. Perez

Re: "Letter from Dana Majewski" And the links to my.barackobama.com's AttackWatch.com last issue I'm going to hope—out of charity, if nothing else—that "AttackWatch" is somebody's idea of political satire, or a Republican "Dirty Tricks" operation. I would hate to believe that even a coven of the Dear Leader's true believers would be clueless enough to launch such a thoroughly creepy site. Take the color scheme. In fact, please take it somewhere where I won't have to look at it again, while I go put in some eye drops and take a couple Percocet. White and red on a black background is not a good combination to use anywhere, let alone anywhere near political discourse. Any literate person—or even any illiterate person who's ever watched the History Channel—has been conditioned to associate that color scheme with totalitarianism. Nearly every authoritarian regime of the last hundred years has used a variation of it, giving it an irredeemable "brand identity." The font doesn't help either. Sans-serif block capitals can't help but look fascist. The only thing that could possibly be worse would be antique German "Schrift" or Soviet-era Cyrillic. The intentionally pixellated photo gallery of the President's "enemies" also give the site an Orwellian cast. After about five minutes of staring at the site's home page I thought I was saw Emmanuel Goldstein's picture flashing on the screen. At least I think I was only seeing it. And of course there's the site's entire concept. It apparently exists to encourage people to report Internet sites that are not sufficiently aligned with the Dear Leader and his Plan for the Rest of Us. That's a rather uncharitable way of putting it, to be sure, but anybody more libertarian than Kim Jong Il will certainly see it that way. Finally, there's the organization underwriting the site. "Paid for by Obama for America." I have no idea what this is, and by then the site's foul graphics had given me a splitting headache, so I was forced to close my browser before I could research it. But there seems to be no link from the AttackWatch site to the organization purportedly funding it. The name, however, is suggestive. Not "Americans for Obama," but "Obama for America." Again, a masterpiece of satire, or utter cluelessness on the part of a mob of deluded cultists? If this site is political comedy, I'd love to know who to credit. If, on the other hand, it was made in earnest, I'd also like to know who is responsible, so that someday they can get the credit they deserve, too. David M. Schmidt

Shopping at COSTCO Yesterday, I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet and I was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time. That I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and that the way that it works is, to load your pants pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. Now, everyone in line had my attention. Horrified, she asked if I ended up in the intensive care unit because the dog food poisoned me. I told her, "No, I stepped off a curb to sniff a POODLE'S ASS and a CAR hit me." I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Costco won't let me shop there anymore. Was that worth reading? A Fireball in the Night During the week of September 25-October 1, 2011, the Governor of North Carolina called for suspending the 2012 Congressional elections so that Congress could deal with the Recession/ Debt crisis. THomas Jefferson stated that he reacted to the Missouri Compromise as if it were "A firebell in the night." Never did get what he meant. Aftet hearing about the call to suspend elections I get what he meant. Up until then I thought the US could be held together and liberty protected with almost purely peaceful means. Thanks to the Governor of North Carolina I am forced to admit that the defense of liberty in this nation will require the use of force and that at least temporarily it may be divided into several smaller nation states. The Republic is at risk, and someone is calling for a Caesar. A.X. Perez

Was that worth reading? I don't like Rick Perry. He's a progressive in disguise who lacks the testicularity to stand up for his beliefs. That said, I also don't want him getting his chops busted unjustly, if only because it cheapens things when we justly bust his chops. The week of 2-7 October the liberal media made much of the Perrys renting a hunting ranch called Nigger Head. Allow me to point out that the week before he executed a monster for dragging a man to death for being a Nigger. I would say this is preetty good evidence of Mr. Perry's commitment to supporting the civil rights of Black people. Crazy Al
