The 47% Aren't Really The Problem. Its The 53% That Are REALLY Causing The Trouble!
Special to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise No, I didn't roll over and become a useless fucking socialist. I mean it. The problem is people paying taxes. We need to stop it from occuring anymore. Taxes are the lifeblood of government. Taxes enable the government to buy votes from certain groups. Taxes enable government to spend money to regulate our lives. Taxes enable the government to "provide services" that "everybody needs", which they then use to buy even more votes AND justify even more taxes. In other words, to justify their existence. It is beyond past due for a sea-change in the funding of government. We need to make government run at a break-even, and funded ONLY by those who use it's services. There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him. Robert A. And if you don't stop paying in. Medicare? Ditto. Want welfare available? make damn sure you check that box when you fill out your employment papers. UEI? Again, Ditto. Want to use a road? pay the fee. Don't want to use it, don't pay for it. Our government was NEVER intended to feed and house ANYONE. It was founded to protect our borderss, defend our shipping, provide post roads, and protect our rights. THAT'S IT!!! Not to compell us to buy health insurance, nor to provide it to us if we choose not to buy it. Not to feed, clothe, and house us if we can't do so for ourselves. Not to "level the playing field" in business, or to force businesses to provide certain services (or to prevent businesses from providing services)! It is not the job of government to provide us with water, sewer, fire protection, or police. It is the responsibility of PEOPLE to provide for themselves, IF THEY DESIRE THEM. It is not the job of government to determine the size of our soft drinks, the type of fats used to cook our food, or whether a business or dwelling can allow people to smoke cigarettes (or any other drug) on the premises. And it is taxes that fuel government DOING all these things. Licensing marriage, licensing businesses, licensing enumerated rights, fees for this and that, ALL of these things are taxes that fuel the government. And we need to stop them. Stop paying for licenses and permits. Stop paying taxes. Stop allowing our servant to act as our master. We, the People have the power to change things. And the first thing we need to do is eliminate the 16th Amendment since it was never actually ratified. Don't believe it? Go HERE! Because the Constitution is VERY specific about ratifying Amendments, it was not properly ratified. Since only 2 states ratified it UNCHANGED, and the rest of the states that ratified it changed the wording, it is NOT ratified. The entire US tax system is un-Constitutional, according to the US Supreme Court.
So, MY conclusion is that, contrary to statements that the 47% of Americans who pay no federal income tax are the problem, I must disagree. They ARE, in many cases, leeches feeding off the 53% who DO pay them. But it's the people who PAY the taxes that are to blame for the problems CAUSED by the government's spending of those taxes. Be a REAL Patriot! join the fight to repeal the Amendment that never was, the 16th Amendment. Save the country from our government! Was that worth reading?
