A Brilliant Idea!

I'm in the middle of an astonishing video and what I've heard so far has me convinced that this is the most brilliant idea I ever heard, being enunciated by a man of intelligence and principle.

I urge you to spend 87 minutes (yes, 87 minutes) on this fellow and his idea. I mean to integrate it into my future writing. He is describing how we can have, in our time, the bnefits I've always looked for from civilization: freedom, immortality (of a scientific, biological type) and a pathway to the stars.

[ I urge you also. The fellow rambles a bit and occasionally gets off track, but has an idea that can save Civilization. How often does that happen? That book mentioned in the video is The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations by Ori Brafman and Rod A. Beckstrom Get it at Amazon.com or at Barnes & Noble.com Distributed Computing (the internets), Distributed Civilization, the next step.—Editor ]

Nuts! and Quack, Ack!!

Nuts! (if the othe guy'd won I'da said rats.)

I predict it'll go badly in a different way than if Mr. Romney had won.

Apologists for President Obama and Attorney General Holder have claimed that the fuss over Operation Fast and Furious was simply a political ploy to influence the 2012 Presidential Election (and perhaps some Congressional Elections, especially in affected districts and states). We shall see when the lame duck session starts.

Mr. Obama got support making promises that actually are based on showing proper respect for the rights and liberties of many groups. Hopefully he will keep his promises and do so in a way based on proper respect for the rights and liberties of all Americans. We shall see what his intentions are during the lame duck session.

As the pundits point out, we got the same bunch that were in office before this election. Both parties are going to have to come up with something new or die in2014 and 2016. El Neil's Down with Power and Lever Action Essays are a good place to find these new ideas. Time to start working on your local guys to sell these ideas.

Before they follow a path set by lame ducks.

Facebook November 6 at 9:30pm

I would not have guessed that this election would change my attitude in any way about anything, but I was wrong. It has been my lifelong habit to take people pretty much as I find them, and allow them the benefit of the doubt until they prove, through their actions, that they are stupid, crazy, or evil.

However after watching some of the most evil individuals in the history of mankind deliberately destroy American civilization—and get away with it—after watching the political system select against the one candidate who could have fixed things, I am no longer going to make that benevolent assumption.

From now on, I will assume that people are stupid, crazy, or evil until they prove otherwise. And when the conversation begins, with someone I don't know, my first question will be, "Have you read my book Down With Power: Libertarian Policy In A Time Of Crisis?" And if they haven't, I will tell them to go away and not come back until they have.

Otherwise, it seems to me, I have lived and worked and struggled for fifty years to no purpose at all. Those who cannot see that their lives, and those of others, would be immeasurably better if their control and ownership of them was complete, don't deserve a nanosecond of my attention. Like the Neanderthals and the Denisovans, and so many other now-extinct humanoids, this species is headed straight for the garbage heap of evolution, and it is probably too late now to stop it.

Letter from Michael Bates

Howdy

I would like to suggest that any further reference at TLE to the nation once known as America be discontinued.

The correct name should be The United Socialist States of America.

Having once again elected a sociopathic, self-absorbed, ruthless and murderous marxist to the highest office in the land I feel it only reasonable for TLE to, as always, tell it like it is.

The USA is dead. All power to the USSA. All hail the empty-suit-in-chief.

Best Regards—Minority Mike
