It so happens I'm a Believer. While many of my good friends aren't, they also don't have a problem with my opinion as long as "I keep it in my pants." Fair enough.

However, the current Bull Moose Loonie residing at 1600 Pennsylvania is being passed of as a deity by some and to be honest the next will get even more ego boosting. Meanwhile the Presidency is getting greater power and Congressional fecklessness as much as grasping ambition have encouraged a royal, if not imperial Presidency. Finally, I understand there was time when people were beaten even in Eire for speaking Gaeilge instead of English. So in solidarity with those who have been denied the freedom of speaking their mother tongue and to express my opinion in religion and politics to those who would raise the American President to the status of God King: Is é Críost mo Rí agus ar bith eile.

And I'd like to thank Col. Colt and Mose Browning for helping me be free to express that opinion, go rabh math agabh, a uaisle.

PS My Gaeilge is limited and I cheated using internet translations. If you don't trust them the English is "Christ is my King and no other." and translation he second is "Thank you, gentlemen." Feel free to run them through your own programs. The letter title comes from the idea that believing in one God and King (Whether or not He truly exists, a nod to my nonBeliever amigos.) helps me not be deceived by the false gods and kings our political system throws up.

Hole Under Door Lock

Wednesday, I approached my truck from the passenger side to place my computer bag ( aka my man purse) in the front passenger seat.

As I reached to open the door I noticed there was a hole right under my door handle.

My first thought was, "someone has shot my truck!"

I began to think about it and inspect it a little closer and the "light" slowly began to come on.

I phoned my friend who owns a body shop and asked if he had any vehicles with damage to the doors that looked like a bullet hole.

"Yes, I see it all the time. Thieves have a punch and place it right under the door handle, knock a hole through, reach in and unlock it, just as if they have a key. No alarms, broken glass, or anything."

I then placed a call to my insurance agent and explained it to him. I was puzzled that they left my GPS and all other belongings.

Here is where it gets scary!

"Oh no, he said, they want the break-in to be so subtle that you don't even realize it. They look at your GPS to see where "home" is. Or check your address from Insurance and Registration in your glove box. Now, they know what you drive, go to your home, and if your vehicle isn't there they assume you aren't and break into your home."

He said they will even leave a purse or wallet and only take one or two credit cards. By the time you realize there has been a theft, they may have already had a couple of days or more to use them.

(I didn't realize my situation for two full days!)

They even give you the courtesy of re-locking your doors for you.

Periodically, walk around your car, especially after you park in a shopping center or other large parking area.

Report thefts immediately... your bank w/missing check numbers, your credit card agencies, police, and insurance companies, etc.

Below is picture of what the hole looks like.

One would have to look pretty darn close to notice a hole like that. If the hole was on the passenger side I would never see.

I've been watching a sort of PowerPoint presentation put up on YouTube by Stefan Molyneux a couple of weeks ago, titled: "There Will Be No Economic Recovery: Prepare Yourself Accordingly" (link below), and he's made about as clear a case for Americans divorcing themselves from Mordor-on-the-Potomac and the federal government as I've ever seen.

You know it's bad. Molyneux shows in exquisite detail how bad it really is, and why.

Its not merely the hoplophobes but the predisposing pathology behind those symptoms. Its not simply that they fear firearms but they fear their neighbors who are familiar with such instruments, competent in the use of guns, and determined to defend their lives, their liberties, and their property from predators, especially predators on government payrolls.

Can a society hold together in the face of such fears, particularly when those fearful characters control the central government and that government's thugs?

Better we separate, section from section, so that there are physical places to which those of libertarian disposition —who respect our neighbors' rights to make their ways to hell each in his or her own handbasket—can repair as we see fit, and leave the "Liberals" fascisti to starve and freeze to death in the dark.

Secession seems now to be the only way to preserve Franklin's republic, sloughing the mentally ulcerous, the morally cancerous, the National Socialists, the Republicans, and the otherwise diseased.

And, damnit, that's going to include New Jersey, much to my personal discomfort and dislike.

Dear TLE Editor: Unfortunately I would like to make a few comments in disagreement to the article "Message to a Mini-Statist" by L. Neil Smith (this issue).

First of all, I dislike his comparison of the following:

Nevertheless, there are people—whole nations of them—who still swallow the same old guff that we need government or we will die because without its constant nagging, we might forget to breath, or we might all wander around stark naked, or get leprosy or something.

It is a mistake to equate 'wandering around naked' with getting leprosy or forgetting to breath, and it is a mistake that governments take advantage of to justify their existence 'for our own good'. The reason why is that wandering around naked, unlike getting leprosy or forgetting to breath, is NOT necessarily harmful to the individual practicing it, depending on whether the weather is good, or whether the individual practices some sort of advanced biofeedback or has access to advanced bio-tinkering allowing them to keep their body comfortable, despite inclement weather.

Secondly, eugenics is not necessarily something imposed by the government. It is entirely possible for an individual, or several of them, to make decisions in their breeding practices ranging from choosing a mate with particular qualities they happen to regard as superior, to genetic engineering, that they think will cause their offspring to be born with better genes. It is entirely possible for one person or billions of people to voluntarily engage in such practices, without committing genocide.

I have been told in the past by certain individuals who claim to be 'libertarians' that I do not have a right to make such eugenic decisions in my personal life, or to use hypothetical genetic engineering technology, and the justification these individuals use for controlling MY body and MY reproductive decisions is that if my decisions are poor ones (resulting possibly in an inferior child), then it isn't 'fair' to any children I have, but on the other hand, if my decisions are good ones (resulting, possibly, in a superior child), then it isn't 'fair' to other people who either can't or won't make the same decisions.

Sorry, I don't play double heads-I-win-tails-you-lose games like that, and the argument that my ability or willingness to make decisions to use technology that might give me some sort of advantage over others who are unable or unwilling to do so could be used to ban just about anything.
