Stop Obamacare

You have my permission to use this letter as you will, and at this point I don't believe it makes any difference whether it's attributed to me or not, since I intend to send it to my Senators and Congressman (and to anyone else whom I think might listen), even if No Such Agency weren't listening in. In particular, you may send it intact, or use it as the basis of, a letter to your own Senators or Congressperson.

Dear (Senator or Congressman)

During the two weeks of the government "shutdown" initiated by the effort to defund, or at least delay portions of, the ill-conceived Affordable Care Act, we have watched an astounding array of responses from this Administration, including:

1. Closing the open-air War memorials on the National Mall to American veterans, while opening the law to a rally on illegal immigration supported by the Administration.

2. The closure of roads to private leased business and residences on federal property, forcing people out of their homes, closing business.

3. The closure of NON-federal roads and properties.

4. Most egregiously, the interpretation of the Administration of the act maintaining pay and benefits for the military during this period, so as to deny death benefits to our brave soldiers killed in action, until this action backfired.

Having watched this, and further contemplated the disastrous rollout of the system by which individuals are mandated to purchase health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, including the cancellation of hundreds of thousands of existing insurance policies and the massive increase of fees imposed on insurance buyers in order to meet the arbitrary minimum requirements for coverage under "Obamacare," I have been forced to a conclusion.

I do not want -- no sane person would want -- their health care, their very life, under the capricious control of an Administration that would behave as the Obama Administration has behaved during the past two weeks. If they block access to the World War II memorial to veterans on their Honor Flights; if they block access to homes of people who leased federal property, there is nothing to stop them from blocking access to health care to anybody, at any time, for any reason.

Obamacare must be stopped, utterly, totally, and finally, and such abject control over people's lives must never again be contemplated by the Constitutional government of the Republic of the United States.

I am well aware that the Administration and its allies in the Senate are holding the solvency of the United States hostage to the efforts to defund Obamacare by refusal of any separate deal of raising the debt limit of the United States. I know that I personally and many people I know are suffering financially because of this situation. There are no good solutions; hence there is only the right and just solution:

Stop Obamacare now, because it will only get worse if it goes forward.
