THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE Number 742, October 20, 2013 Only the Zero Aggression Principle, and the freedom it generates, can save us from the same oblivion that swallowed the Sumerians, the Babylonians, the Egyptians, the ancient Greeks, the Romans, and the British Attribute to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise Fired?!?! REALLY? Shannon "Bear" Cothran pulled out his concealed Pistol and caused a knife-wielding thief to flee the gas station he was attempting to rob. Police confirmed the attempted theft, and the fleeing thief. When Cothran notified the parent company, he was promptly fired for violating company policies on firearms and thefts. No guns, and reward thieves by giving up the cash. Despite support from the store manager AND the district manager, they fired him for his efforts. Link. Wanna bet he gets offered a job within a week? Nanny Bloomberg just can't stand not being allowed to be a dictator, and losing a court battle. Link. So he's trying to re-open the court case so he can decide how much soda you can buy in a single container. in addition to interfering in the lives of Americans, he's ALSO interfering in the lives of wanna-ba Americans—he's a huge supporter of new taxes in Mexico on sugary soft drinks and candy. I guess he's a multi-cultural nanny. Should we call him Au Pair Bloomberg now? A new feature to the rant is right here, right now. Da dada DAHHHH! It's The Gunsmith's Corner. Send me your gun repair or function questions, and if I can't answer them, I know who can. Susan Callaway has been working on some other projects, so she sent us a guest article. Link. Authored by Brad Harrington [ reprinted in full in this issue here—Editor ]. An excerpt follows:
I live in New York state. The only state to abstain from signing the Declaration of Independence. And again, we prove our state to be full of people who have no concept of the law. No, silly, not the citizens. I mean the government. Not only do they violate the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment with the NYSAFE Act, they ALSO violate the 4th Amendment in order to violate the 2nd! Link. You will note that the link contains links to other sources for more details. But to put it simply, a legally licensed handgun (three words that do not belong together, Constitutionally speaking), presented upon request to a cop (who had no right to take the weapon or ask for it), was unlawfully searched and found to contain 3 rounds more than the (unconstitutional) NYSAFE Act permits, and a man faces up to 6 months in jail. So let me see if I get this straight—the "shrine" to the souls of 200+ who died for freedom is off limits to demonstrations, even ones aimed straight at PRTECTING freedoms? I. for one, an glad this traditional "off limits" has been broken. Link. Of course, the article comes from an organization diametrically opposed to firearms rights, and these idiots at MSN are NEVER going to present firearms rights advocates sympathetically.
The eyes of Texas are upon you.... Stand strong. Dinnae be fergettin' yer customized quotes and gremes! This wraps up this week's rant.
