Donald Trump has stated he wants to get rid of the law making the children of illegal aliens US Citizens. I thought it would be a good idea to let you all know what law this ignorant clown was talking about:

Amendment XIV Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

There are three other sections, but this would throw out Brown v. Board of Education, Heller v. District of Columbia and MacDonald v. Chicago (binding state and local government to respect the Second Amendment), Obergefell v.Hodges (guaranteeing the right of same sex marriage).

Just for starters.

You will pardon me for descending to vulgarity and saying that Mr. Trump has succeeded in establishing himself as the Platonic Ideal of an asshole.

I realize that many people reading this don't like the Fourteenth Amendment and opine that the Supremacy Clause is sufficient to decide these Constitutional cases. However they all were decided using the 14th and would get thrown out. In any case, last I heard Mr. Trump was not acting out of any great love of liberty with his comments.

In any case anyone so ignorant of the Constitution and case law has no business running for for dog catcher, let alone President.
