Let the free market come up with whatever solutions
are required. If you don’t believe it can and will,
why are you calling yourself a libertarian?

Special to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

For all those leftists who are still crying, moaning, protesting and rioting over Donald Trump’s election, I have only this to say, get over it. Trump wasn’t my ideal candidate either. Hell, I wasn’t even prepared to vote in this election. What changed my mind was that I knew what kind of person your Queen was and I had found myself more annoyed than usual by the lamestream media’s pathetic attempt at trying to get her elected. I have always known that the media lies, but this one not only took the cake, but the cooking pan and all the leftover ingredients to make it. Seriously, when was the last time they let a republican candidate preapprove their interview questions? Yes, I thought Trump was the lesser of two evils, so I voted for him. That is probably the same reason why millions of people voted for him. Contrary to popular belief, it is highly unlikely that every single American who voted for Trump is racist or misogynistic. Statistically speaking it would be impossible for a man like Trump to get elected if he didn’t have women, minorities and non-racists voting for him. Basically, the same people who voted for Obama.

So in a nutshell, Trump won fair and square. Get over it. Throwing hissy fits or Molotov cocktails isn’t going to change anything. You didn’t see conservatives or libertarians protesting or rioting every time that your Anointed One was elected. So, guess what, little children? It is time to put your big boy pants on and cowboy the hell up. Contrary to what those new age panty wastes taught you in Pee Wee soccer, not everyone gets a trophy. There are winners and losers. Accepting your losses is part of being a respectable adult. Also, contrary to what they are teaching in those big universities there are no safe spaces to hide behind either.

Let us not forget that you Social Justice fanatics are partially responsible for Trump’s success. How so? You guys have spent so much time shoving political correctness down everyone’s collective throats, should it really seem as that big of surprise that so many people found one of the most politically incorrect candidates in American history so appealing? Though I can’t give you full credit. Establishment Republicans, who have been giving us nothing but bland duds to counter your candidate, have also had a hand in this as well. Then we have your buddies in the media, who despite their pitiful attempts at trying to sabotage Trump’s campaign probably ended up helping him by giving him the most attention. By lying their butts off they probably angered a great deal of people who otherwise wouldn’t have even given Trump a second thought. So, thank your friends who managed to sell their journalistic souls with nothing to show for it. Come to think of it, wasn’t there quite a few of you who were loyal Bernie Sanders supporters who either stayed home or voted for Jill Stein of The Green Party? Yet, it was racism that got Trump elected.

I do want to point out that I didn’t write this article just to berate you for your childish actions. I write this as a warning. I remember listening to the podcast of my fellow libertarian, Christopher Cantwell where he advocated having radical leftist groups expelled from college campuses. Now I don’t like the idea of having people expelled from campus just because they belong to an unpopular group, but I see where Cantwell is coming from. You guys have done everything in your ability to try and silence anybody with an opposing viewpoint. Personally, I think we should cut off all tax payer funding to any university that refuses to respect the rights of their students. That would mean expelling students who try to shout down guest speakers and revoking tenure to any professor that bullies students with opposing viewpoints. Yeah, you read that right. Tax payer funding is a privilege, not a right. If you accept tax payer funding then you have to accept these little strings that come with it, such as the Bill of Rights. I admit that these measures may amount to nothing more than a pipe dream. Yet there is one man that you need to fear, Steven Bannon who was picked by Donald Trump to be his new Chief Strategist. Rumor has it that Bannon is not only gunning for radical leftists, but he has his sights set on college campuses. So, all I can say is that you better hope that the policies that he has in mind are as reasonable as the ones that I just proposed. If not, then you shouldn’t expect to find too many sympathetic shoulders among conservatives or libertarians to cry on.
