Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

“Trustbuster” Teddy Roosevelt had a number of admirable qualities, to be sure, but he was no friend to capitalism or to individual liberty. At one point, striving as always to enhance his power and prestige, he undertook the persecution of certain captains of industry that his “Progressive” socialist allies referred to as “robber barons” using the expression “malefactors of great wealth”, hypocritically overlooking, almost in Democratic Party fashion, the vast family fortune that had nurtured his ambitions and career.

Nevertheless, it has turned out to be a useful phrase, after all, “malefactors of great wealth”. Today, a century and a fraction later, American culture, indeed, Western Civilization itself, is gravely endangered by several such malefactors, seemingly hell-bent on misusing their money—often ill-gained and spent in support of evil—to distort the centuries-old social and political processes of which they loftily disapprove.

Names come to mind: George Soros is a thoroughly despicable Hungarian Jew who sold his own people out as an entry-level Nazi, destabilized the Bank of England and both the British and the Russian economies (there’s a “dead or alive” price on his head in the latter nation), is believed to have tried to interfere in the 2016 American election (Donald Trump’s supporters taught him that he couldn’t buy America—it’s said that lesson cost him a billion dollars), and, alongside forces loyal to Hillary Clinton, to be behind the attempted media coup d’état against the President they despise.

Michael Bloomberg, a former mayor of New York who apparently believes he knows what’s best for everybody better than they do, and would impose his ideas about their diet, their soft drink preferences, and their Second Amendment rights by brute force on everyone who dares to disagree with him, fairly clearly is in need of some serious couch-time.

Bill Gates, at one time reckoned to be the richest man in the world, is an opportunistic nothing-burger, driven by an ideologically ambitious wife, and living off the genius of others.

Rupert Murdoch built his career as a bright yellow journalist and monopolistic broadcaster whose ethics (or lack of thereof) would turn even William Randolph Hearst’s stomach. There are many more like him, but it is Murdoch who needs urgently to be dealt with now. An ungrateful Australian immigrant (or “semigrant”, like Soros), he has come to make money in America without regard for its institutions, laws, and customs. Unaware, or uncaring, that the majority of Americans are either conservatives or libertarians, he is now trying to snatch away the only television voice that respects them. He is quoted as wanting to turn Fox News into “another MSNBC”, reportedly because he thinks it would be more profitable. You will pardon me if I suspect an ideological motive in there, as well. He has assigned that re-sculpting task to his two sons. Understand that Fox was never perfect, not by any means, but the Murdochs’ plans for it are disgusting.

The assault on Fox began with still-unsubstantiated charges of sexual harrasment made against Roger Ailes, a brilliant innovator (and tremendous danger to the left) who invented the network and also gave us Rush Limbaugh. In this lynch-law atmosphere, where accusation is the same as conviction, Ailes resigned, dying conveniently. shortly thereafter, of a head injury. Accident or Arkancide? Make of it what you will. The network’s biggest star, Megyn Kelly, a creature absolutely without principle, had already jumped ship to a socialist outfit, and its next biggest star, Bill O’Reilly, was made to resign the same as Ailes. As far as I know, he’s still alive, but you can never tell.

The same tactics were tried against Sean Hannity, a feisty little Irishman who didn’t give ground, but threatened instead to bury his accusers in lawyers. They recanted immediately. Then, when he attempted to investigate the extremely suspicious murder of Seth Rich, a DNC staffer who may have been the source of Wiki-leaks’ information on Hillary Clinton’s many crimes, Hannity was threatened with massive boycotts of his sponsors. He backed off a little, his sponsors came crawling back, and the bad-guys lost that round, but no suitable counter-tactic to the boycott has been devised thus far. He’s staying aboard the battle-damaged Fox, he says, because he wants to try to rebuild it. How he plans to do that in the face of its perfidious owner’s villainy, he doesn’t say.

Be aware: the left won’t give up until they’re crushed completely. The next time you scratch your head at their tactics and strategy, their antics and connivances, just remember that this is the same crowd, ideologically, that slaughtered over two hundred million (200,000,000) innocent human beings in the 20th century—not counting war-deaths—just to get their evil way. Above all, they hate and fear not only individualism, but any manifestation of individuality. The idea of millions of people in control of their own lives fills them with fear and fury. They plan to kill you and cook you and eat you if we don’t stop them, and they have made it clear, in the hundred days following the election, that they intend to show no mercy, no quarter.

They—which is to say, Charles Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein. Al Franken, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, and the rest of the Khmer Pinque—mean to turn the United States into Venezuela, or better yet, North Korea.

These are the same scum and low-lives who made fun of 11-year-old Barron Trump because he got upset at a picture of his dad’s decapitated head. These are the political garbage who smash windows and throw Molotov cocktails to prevent a conservative or a libertarian (I’m not sure which Milo is, these days) from speaking. They have declared war on ten thousand years of human accomplishment and basic decency, and not only must they be fought, but anybody, like Rupert Murdoch, who helps them, nust be fought, as well.
