Letter from A.X. Perez

Letter from Vin Suprynowicz

"claimed she was unaware of why we are carrying out military engagements in Niger, and has called the mission 'President Trump’s Benghazi'"

So Rep. Frederica Wilson, the congresscritter in the sequined cowboy hat … SPONSORED the legislation that sent our boys to Niger?

She should have been apologizing to Trump for her goofy Obama-era attempt at international meddling … and offering to make the condolence call FOR him … not setting his up with her pre-planned "talking down to black folk" narrative.

Loopholes

Every now and then we hear or read complaints about ICE (Immigration Control and Enforcement) and other agencies assigned to control immigration, collect customs duties, prevent smuggling and otherwise enforce our Borders. Specifically, we hear complaints about their disregard for the Fourth Amendment. Immigration and Customs operate under the theory that until you have passed their inspection you have not really entered the US. Therefor you are not really protected by the Bill of Rights, specifically the Fourth Amendment at least as far as Immigration and Customs issues apply.

This interpretation may make sense right at a Border point of entry, you are free to refuse inspection by simply turning back. However, Customs and Immigration maintain checkpoints within the US, usually at chokepoints for people leaving the Border area. They operate under the theory that illegal aliens and contraband that have penetrated our Borders are still awaiting inspection and therefor not protected by the Fourth Amendment. Often they are joined at these checkpoints by DEA who search for drugs and seize money under civil forfeiture if you are carrying too much cash. DEA could not set up these checkpoints on their own, but they hide behind Immigration and Customs’ aegis to pull this off.

Many in law enforcement do not view the Bill of Rights as a law they are supposed to obey, but as an impediment to their carrying out their duty to enforce the law. They are continually searching for loopholes and weak points in the law to act extraconstitutionally. It remains up to us to block these efforts.
