We begin with:

A NOTE FROM YOUR PUBLISHER

The first thing I saw on TV when I woke up this morning was a FOX anchor, a pretty brunette, flanked by a pair of suited stooges for the remains of the two conventional political parties, The Democrat mouthpiece repeated the mythology that Donald Trump is a love-slave to Vladimir Putin and supported the charge with all of the phony “evidence” dredged up by the criminal attorney they have “investigating” whatever happened last year. The Republicanoid very weakly conceded that the dastardly Russians have been trying to influence American elections since the last Ice Age. The anchor was clearly disgusted with both of them.

As usual, I was disappointed that the anchor—who I suspect was under strict, career-ending orders from Rupert Murdoch & Sons not to spoil the story—didn’t ask them the one question I’ve been demanding an answer to since this preposterous fantasy came up: precisely how did this so-called Russian interference manifest itself? What, exactly, did any of the Kremlin gremlins do that could have altered a single vote? So far, the “best” answer I’ve received is, they bought ads on Facebook—which is simply an exercise of free speech. Anybody in the world can and does buy ads on Facebook.

So, in the continuing hard-vacuum absence of any real answer, and for the sake of all those who want to see something else on TV when they wake up in the morning, until Hillary’s Flying Monkeys or Mitt Romney’s Orcs and Goblins can answer my one, extremely simple question, they should all go away and shut the fuck up.

Recommended reading this week is The Problem With Truth and Reason in a Post-Truth Society by Helen Pluckrose.

What is a "Post-Truth Society?" Well, it is where (almost) nobody seems concerned with the truth, but are all about the Feelings, which count more than anything. You know, like what we see all around us. Kinda creepifying if you ask me.

Related (and referenced in the above article) is A Manifesto Against the Enemies of Modernity by James A. Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose, which is very long and I have not had the time to read so far, but by Modernity they seem to mean our heratage from The Age of Enlightenment and The Age of Reason which has pretty much gone to the dumping grounds for many people.

And finally, what we knew all along has been discovered by a study: Harvard Study Finally Admits Drug Prices Are High Because Govt Grants Big Pharma a Monopoly. Yes, once again it is the fault of the Democrat-Republican uni-party and the people who own them, which is not us mostly. But then the main goal of government is to move money from the pockets of the Productive people to the pockets of The Masters. Or something.

And on that note, click “Next”, okay?
