Tonight, in a Special Edition of Mars Pirate Radio, Episode 137 will feature the first half of my interview with SF author, playwright, screenwriter, and film producer, J. Neil Schulman. In 1973 as a 20 year-old reporter for the New York Daily News, he interviewed science fiction author Robert A. Heinlein (Stanger in a Strange Land and many other works). We discuss his interview with excerpts, at length, in a wide ranging conversation via cell-phone and Skype. There are some spots where due to the connection, the sound quality is less than perfect, so please bear with us on that. Legal Marijuana?

I just saw my first TV ad here in California about how smoking cigarettes is OK but smoking Marijuana will get you a DUI. Leaving aside the fact that nicotine is an addictive alkaloid which has many bad effects on the body, INCLUDING, the fact that large amounts of it in your blood can intoxicate you and impair driving, marijuana is still stigmatized and will get you busted if you should drive with it in your system. Being that it can be detected 30 days after your last toke the cops are going to be really increasing the revenues to the state. Also there are cops who are supposedly trained to detect it from simple observation, no blood test necessary.
So watch out for the marijuana cops!
