David Koch spent half a billion dollars to rebuild New York City’s performing-arts mecca, Lincoln Center and afterwards got nothing but abuse from New York liberals. He said no to spending a few million to finance the production of Alongside Night the movie. Despite being the partner-in-Agorism with the late friend who coined the term “Kochtopus” I would have taken the money and thanked David Koch for it. It would have been pocket change for David Koch. It was not pocket change for the libertarian who did finance the movie, Patrick A. Heller.
By the way, in my just published $0.99 Amazon Kindle novel, The Fractal Man (http://thefractalman.com) a libertarian movie studio mogul does produce The Probability Broach as a movie. The character is an alternate-timeline fractal of Yours Truly, who would, also.

People keep missing a very important point in the Phillips case (baker who would not bake cake for gay couple.) Essentially the Supreme Court ruled that The Colorado Civil Rights Commission that ruled against him was guided more by bigotry against Phillips’ Christianity than by any desire to protect gay people’s rights.
This case does not legitimize bigotry against homosexuals and people should not interpret it as permission to discriminate against people because they are homosexual. What it said was that government agencies can not decide cases based on anti-religious bigotry.
While no precedent was set a message was sent: government policy cannot be determined by nor may government agents act out of bigotry. Sadly I don’t think anyone was listening.
