Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

“Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”
—John Adams

“Western civilisation is over; it's dead and gone. 'Celebrating' insanity is a sign of cultural extinction.”
—Kaptain Kanada

“A persistent characteristic of civilizations in decline throughout history has been their self-strangling by slow, swollen, and stupid bureaucracies.”
—Camille Paglia

"The first stage moves from bondage to spiritual faith. The second from spiritual faith to great courage. The third stage moves from great courage to liberty. The fourth stage moves from liberty to abundance. The fifth stage moves from abundance to selfishness. The sixth stage moves from selfishness to complacency. The seventh stage moves from complacency to apathy. The eighth stage moves from apathy to moral decay. The ninth stage moves from moral decay to dependence. And the tenth and last stage moves from dependence to bondage."
—unknown (to me) author

It's sad and it's not what I wish for the Americans and the British and the Europeans and us Canadians, but the cold hard reality is that historical facts don't care about our wishes, desires or feelings. No culture in history ever survived for long after this kind of decay had set in, no matter how much they tried to con themselves into believing in their alleged "exceptionalism".

And these are but a few random stories from one day . Stock up on food, water, ammunition and physical gold, kids; it's all about to collapse.

“Romans before the fall were as certain as we are today that their world would continue forever… They were wrong.”
—Brian Ward-Perkins, “Fall of Rome: And the End of Civilization”

“To be ignorant of what happened before you were born is to remain forever a child.”
—Cicero, 46 BC
