California Is The Future The Liberal Elite Wants For You

I was there when it was still Reagan Country back in the late 80s. But the craziness had already earned it the title of the Moonbeam State and the decay was already creeping in. It was where I first learned the term “drive by shooting” that seemed like such an awful thing—at least until I transferred to Andrews and started getting the newsfeed on the gang violence in the “Murder Capital” which at the time took everything to a whole new level. At least for a while anyways.

California appears to be in far worse straits now. Such a tragic shame considering what it once was even in my day:

Letter from A.X. Perez

If you're old enough....

This year Texas twice gave the lie to her reputation as a libertarian paradise. The first was the failure to adopt Constitutional carry. The second was passing of legislation making it illegal for people under the age of 21 to buy tobacco. Previously it had been 18.

Texas is the fourteenth state to make 21 the minimum legal age to smoke. We did resist the rush to raise the age to purchase a long gun from 18 to 21. Thirty years ago we let the Feds force us to raise the age to consume alcohol from 18 to 21 along with most of the rest of the nation.

I'm 65 so it doesn't affect me directly but I find this trend upsetting. I remember when 18 year olds gained the right to vote in 1971. at that time the age to make many decisions for oneself was lowered from age 21 to 18. Apparently they forgot how to stand up for themselves since then.

They have become a bunch of sheep, doing what the media tells them, standing up to spread socialism at the command of their masters. “If God didn't want them sheared, He would not have made them sheep.”

Sometimes it looks as if the youth of America are being bamboozled into adopting an ovine state. The problem is that a libertarian society is meant for adults who are not domestic sheep and these youngster are not learning to be either wild or adults.
