Those who would outlaw weapons must
first outlaw the knowledge of weapons.
And those who would outlaw the knowledge
of weapons must outlaw knowledge itself.

Re: “Government health care is the first step to cyanide showers. ~ Neil Smith (no relation)" [on the main page].
The following minor inconveniences are causing people to suffer and die unnecessarily:
Why can't you find a doctor? by Lindsay Kines, and Cindy E. Harnett in the Times Colonist newspaper.
The socialists always bleat in response, “But it’s free! [sic]” to which I customarily reply, “No it isn’t; we pay out the arse for it via taxation,” and/or “So is dog crap but are you better off with it or without it?”
Somehow I can’t help but believe that competitive private medical insurance would be an improvement over socialist medicarelessness.

TJ's Thought For The Day
It's amazing how those who malign capitalism under incompetent or corrupt management never stop to consider that socialist bureaucrats are no less likely to be incompetent or corrupt, and can damage whole societies, not just individual companies.

Also Known As
It used to be called gun control. Then someone decided to modify it with the adjective “common sense.” When people didn’t buy it they started saying they were calling for gun safety. For a very short time they called it for “common sense gun regulation.” The advocates of victim disarmament now say they are trying to achieve gun safety.
Sorta like calling it mierda instead of shit.
By the way they are not after our guns, if you put the word “just” between “not” and “after”. They are also after our rights to freedom of speech, press, and association with their efforts to silence and/or break up the NRA, our right to due process with red flag laws, our right to due process with various confiscation schemes. our right to fair compensation with buy backs that don’t pay half of what most decent guns are worth.
So they aren’t just after our guns, they’re after all our rights.
