“Gun control is the idea that it’s better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled
with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand.”—T.D. Melrose

Another False Flag
by L. Neil Smith
This is where I came in (does that even mean anything anymore?). Something terrible happens at the hands of a “lone gunman” (in this case, five dozen innocent individuals are randomly and cold-bloodedly murdered, and several hundred are hurt, inexplicably by a rogue multi-millionaire). The usual politicians respond by threatening to punish everyone who didn’t do it, by ripping away great chunks of their human, natural. civil, and Constitutional rights. The event is quickly veiled in an impenetrable cloud of contradictory lies which will not be parted, not for decades, and probably never. We have seen this all before, over and over again.

Resilience and Freedom
by Jim Davidson
There are some major changes and activities at the Resilient Ways Foundation that I’d like to share with  everyone who reads L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise.

T.B. Macaulay as Conservative Classic
by Sean Gabb
Essayist, historian, philosopher, poet, cabinet minister, parliamentary speaker, drafter of the Indian penal code, Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800-59) was among the most eminent of the early Victorians. The first volume of his great History of England came out in 1848, the last completed volume after his death. It was an immediate classic. It sold in large and steady numbers into the 1930s. For style alone, the History deserved its status. Perhaps no other English writer has combined such clarity with such overpowering force. He demands his reader’s attention. Open the History — indeed, any of his works — at any page, and read for a while, and then try to look away: it needs great effort. But his achievement was more than style alone. Above all what he provides in the History is a compelling vision of the Glorious Revolution of 1688 — of its immediate causes and progress and consequences, and of its significance in the history of the human race.

More Nonsense from Reason
by Sean Gangol
In my last article, “Open Letter to Reason Magazizne”, I called out Reason magazine for their virtue signaling and the overall dishonest reporting that has led to my decision to not renew my subscription, which is soon to expire. What led to this decision were two videos from Reason TV, the first one Trump Denounces Racism in Charlottesville Too Little, Too Late, and the other What the Alt-Right Gets Wrong. In the letter, I mainly addressed the fallacies in the video about Charlottesville. I addressed a few of the problems that I had with the Alt-Right video, but it had so many fallacies that it probably would have taken an extra three or four pages to address them all. Yet, I thought that it was important to address them, so I decided to dedicate an entire article to everything that was wrong with that video.

From the Rust Belt to the Asteroid Belt:
The Incredible Future Worlds of Issac Arthur

by Jeff Fullerton
The things I stumble across on the internet. I discovered the Science and Futurism channel of Issac Arthur about a year or so ago while watching various SF movies and cartoons from the 1960s and late 50s. I’ve watched everything from Lost in Space to Space Ghost and the Herculoids and many other favorites from early childhood days. And just recently I discovered Scott McCloud—the Space Angel who was actually a little before my time.

What is the Ruling Class?
by Sean Gabb
Libertarians often define a ruling class as that group of politicians, bureaucrats, lawyers, businessmen, therapists, educators and media people who derive income and position from the State. By definition, so far as such people operate as members of a ruling class, they are parasitic on the efforts of ordinary people. Their position comes from forcing others to act as they would not freely choose, or by excluding them from activities they might freely choose. Their income is based on forced transfers of wealth.
