“Gun control is the idea that it’s better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled
with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand.”—T.D. Melrose

Letters to the Editor
from L. Neil Smith and A.X. Perez

Sticks and Stones
by L. Neil Smith
Michael Weatherly is an actor, probably best known for playing “Very Special Agent” Anthony DiNozzo, Jr. on N.C.I.S. a popular long-running police procedural television series where he was the “second banana”, and more recently for his own series Bull, about a “trial science expert”, inspired by the early career of “Dr. Phil” McGraw. He is a tall, handsome individual, well-spoken and with a pleasant voice. On N.C.I.S., he played a wry, often-obnoxious, but fundamentally decent and reliable character. I can’t speak to the same things with respect to Bull, because I have yet to sit through an entire episode.

It’s Not A Magic Spell
by Sarah A. Hoyt
I woke up feeling human. That’s not a magic spell, either, it’s just 11:30 hours of sleep. You see, this was QUITE the most arduous course to Portugal we’ve ever done.

War and the Paper Standard
Is there a hidden threat that explains chaotic U.S. foreign policy?

by L. Reichard White
Maybe you’ve noticed the frenzied U.S. Government attempt to replace Venezuela’s duly elected hood-ornament — PresideNT Nicolas Maduro — with Juan Guaido, a nearly unknown U.S. prepped Venezuelan politician?

by J. Neil Schulman
It’s self-evident to anarchists that taxation is theft. I’m an anarchist so I accept this statement as self-evident. This does require more explanation to the non-anarchist.

In Praise of Scrooge McDuck
by Harding McFadden
I’m going to blame this one on my cousin, Paul Poole. I become obsessive. I think that’s why my wife hates it so much when I bring something new (to me) up to her. Y’see it means that I’m about to go ape crap in an attempt to get my greedy little hands on everything related to said new thing that I can. It’s a lifelong issue. When I was a kid, I was introduced to Heinlein, and spent every cent that I got for the next few years buying all of his books. As a teen, it was Led Zeppelin, and Valiant Comics. Many years, and dollars, later, I still have the LZ records, but very little of the Valiant. Things get traded or sold, to raise funds for the next obsession. It’s how I lost all of my Garth Ennis, and gained three shelves worth of Fantastic Four.

I'm going to depart from my usual policies regarding what I publicly post on Facebook and reveal some details about my current life situation. Any comments that are either expressions of sympathy or expressions of enjoyment of my predicament WILL BE DELETED. Neither am I asking for advice. Comments offering advice likewise WILL BE DELETED.

The Philosophy Of My First Article (In Years)
by Nicolas “Nic” Leobold
My First Article In Years, is not my first article in years; because I write articles every 90 seconds every day on Twitter… kind of similar to the President of the united States, Mr. Trump.
