“Gun control is the idea that it’s better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled
with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand.”—T.D. Melrose

The Editor’s Notes
*psst*, don't tell anybody, but here is the secret truth about leftism…

Letters to the Editor
from A.X. Perez, Jeff Fullerton, Bob Gibson, Dennis Wilson, and L. Neil Smith

Twitterpurge 2021
by L. Neil Smith
Please bear with me here, I’m going to write of things I know practically nothing about. (Some critics claim that this is all I ever do, but my focus has always been on the bigger, historical picture: what things that everybody thinks they know all about actually mean.™)

Night Terrors
by Sarah A. Hoyt
The problem with having a completely unreliable media who were raised in an educational establishment which taught them objective reality doesn’t exist, and reality changes according to what you believe, is that they’re trying very hard to create a narrative: a story. They’ve been doing this forever, of course, but they used to do it “in the service of the revolution”, knowing it was their duty to lie. Now they don’t see it as a lie, but as “making the world a better place” by inventing reality and replacing reality they don’t like or which might have made them feel better with their crazy stories.

Resisting Tyranny in 2021—Part 1
by Blank Reg
“Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”—TX GOP chair Allen West, after SCOTUS rejected TX suit. As I write this, the Federal government of the USA is being stolen out from under us, right in plain sight, by a highly organized cabal. I’m not going to go into the details here, many other sites and even writers on this site, have gone into vicious detail about this, on multiple occasions.

The Valiant and the True
by Jim Davidson
This year has already been fairly exciting, and it is only 8 January as I'm writing this essay. Despite all the rage, some of us are getting ready to stop being rats in a cage.

Attention Please!
by Sarah A. Hoyt
Recently, a lot of you who told me I was insane when I said that Winnie the flu was all theater and though it existed and was a flu and would probably take “severe flu, no vaccine numbers” it was and is stupid to lock the sick and the healthy in, destroy the economy and make everyone wear a mask, have come back and ask how I knew. And apologized. Well, attention in the isles, my friends on the right: you are falling for the same king of bullshit diversion. You are being spun like a top. And you’re falling for it and falling in line.

Si vis Pacem, Para Bellum
by L. Neil Smith
I get messages, practically continuously, from decent people asking me what they can do in the battle for America and for freedom. It may have been Reason magazine, way back before it became National Review, Jr. (Sadly, Republicans have their RINOs; Libertarians have their LINOs.), or it may have been some Ayn Rand publication I subscribed to when I was in college, but somebody or something once introduced me to the handy phrase “intellectual ammunition”, about half a century ago. I don’t really want to dwell on why this expression should come to mind at present. You see the same TV and read the same websites that I do.
