L. Neil Smith's
The Libertarian Enterprise

Number 32, August 1, 1997

"A libertarian is a person who believes that no one has the right, under any circumstances, to initiate force against another human being, or to advocate or delegate its initiation. Those who act consistently with this principle are libertarians, whether they realize it or not. Those who fail to act consistently with it are not libertarians, regardless of what they may claim."

Watch your newsstands for the September issue of Analog Science Fiction and Fact, due in bookstores on July 15. "Second Chance" is a libertarian short story written by one of our regular contributors, Fran Van Cleave.
TLE publisher L. Neil Smith's 19th novel, Bretta Martyn, is showing up in bookstores everywhere. The author cautions, "Don't judge this book by its cover -- which is not only the ugliest I've ever had, but the ugliest I've ever seen." The good news is the paperback will have a different cover. Hardcover, Tor Books, New York, ISBN: 0-312-85893-0, 381 pages, $24.95.
