Two People Who Actually Care About The Constitution Need Your Help

I wrote this letter as something that could be passed along to both libertarians—and non-libertarian friends and acquaintances (who probably don't already know either of these people):

I was about to run out the door yesterday afternoon, to take my son to his piano class, when the phone rang. I hastily picked it up & said hello. "Is Linda Cirincione there?" "Who's calling" I responded. "Michael Badnarik." "Are you one of his staff?" "No, I'm Michael Badnarik." Had to be one of the most unexpected calls I've ever had.

I don't usually have much spare cash. But when I do, I try to send a few dollars to people or organizations that I feel are worthwhile & could really use it. We're not talking a lot of money here... maybe five to twenty dollars, depending on what I have available. Not much, but I figure every little bit helps. I sometimes get an email thanking me that's even a personal note rather than a form letter. It's pretty unusual that a former presidential candidate, who is currently running for a congressional seat, would personally phone someone who made such a small contribution just to thank them and let them know what he has been doing lately. But then, from everything I've heard about him, that's the kind of thing that Michael Badnarik would do.

During our conversation, I learned that Congressman Ron Paul of Texas is going to have a tough primary battle in March. It seems that the Republican money is going all out for his opponent: Cynthia Sinatra—a former international lawyer who happens to also be Frank Sinatra Jr.'s ex-wife. Since Congressman Ron Paul is just about the only honest politician out there still fighting for the Bill of Rights, I thought I would spread the word that he can use all of the help he can get in order to win that primary. Yes, I'm talking contributions—and as quickly as possible. Don't worry if you can't give much. It adds up & even five dollars will help. And in case you didn't know it, Congressman Ron Paul was one of the only politicians to vote against the Patriot Act (then & now) & all similar legislation.

If you want to help Ron Paul, please give whatever you can. And spread the word.

OK... back to Michael Badnarik.

For those of you who don't know who he is (yes, unfortunately there are still people who don't!):

Michael Badnarik was the Libertarian Party candidate for president in 2004. (Yes, that's president of the United States.) He is a constitutional scholar who actually believes in the Bill of Rights. I've read many of the statements he's made on various issues & have found them to always be well-reasoned, stated simply and directly, & constitutionally sound. If there was ever someone who would work to protect your rights, Michael Badnarik is that person. He is currently running for Congress in the Austin, Texas area.

And yes, he can use your help also. Please send what you can, even if it's only a few dollars.

Go to: www.badnarik.org to contribute by credit card or for the mailing address to mail a donation. (And pass on this info to everyone that you know.)

This is a man who will use it wisely. He doesn't even spend it on staff to make calls for him.

There are not many politicians out there who actually care about the constitution... and about the people of this country. Congressman Ron Paul & Michael Badnarik do care. Let's help them when they need it—now for their campaigns—so that they will then be in a position to help us.

Linda

PS—No, I don't live in Texas either. Doesn't matter. They will still represent ME with their votes because all I want is voting consistent with the constitution. These are two men who will actually do that.
