I've just seen some news that's made me decide to continue my article from last week, actually several news items.

The first was news that a tobacco company had come up with a new brand of smokeless tobacco, which didn't requre the user to spit, left no residue, and was not in any way dangerous to any other person. The other was a consumer group suing KFC to stop them from using certain types of fats to cook some of their foods.

In the first case, an 'advocacy group' was upset. Not because they could be harmed by the new product, but because "but that won't make them quit!" This leads us to the direct conclusion that these people have absolutely no interest in anything except controlling other people's lives

In the second case, if these people don't like the way that KFC prepares the food, they just shouldn't go there, period!

I'm going to expand on this. If a business does something that you don't like, don't patronize that business. Don't try to dictate and rule other's lives. If a restaurant has a smoking section, and you don't like it, find another restaurant! If a store sells products that you don't approve of, find another store more compatible with your beliefs.

Obviously, if you are truly concerned, you can make your concerns known to the proprietor of that business, politely! If you do otherwise, don't be surprised when he throws you off his property, less than politely. If you do this, you might find that the proprietor is willing to make changes to keep your business. But I don't know too many people who take kindly to someone trying to order them around on their own property or in their place of business.

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. I smoke, both cigarettes and a pipe. I even occasionally smoke a Black and Mild, simply because I like the aroma of it. I am well aware of the potential harm to my body. When I am smoking I take care to not blow smoke in other people's faces, and usually ask those present if they mind before I light up. In other words, I try to be considerate of others and their personal beliefs and prejudices. If someone comes up to me later and asks politely, I've even been known to put a cigarette out, if it was bothering them. What I will not do is knuckle under to rudeness or someone trying to order me around 'for my own good.' For example, I religiously wore a seatbelt when riding or driving in a car, until it was made mandatory. Since then, I haven't worn a seatbelt except in conditions where I could see it was to my advantage to do so, such as in bad weather or on bad roads. Please make note of that. When I made the choice, for my own reasons, to wear a seatbelt, I have done so. Otherwise, I haven't, directly due to gooferment interference in my private life and freedom of choice and will.

My personal opinion is that gooferment in general, and the advocacy groups, consumer groups, and general nibshits in particular, get their jollies off of ordering people around, off of having power over the lives of others. Well, this article is my response to those people, along with the one from last week.

I am a free man. When I can resist intrusion in my private life, no matter what the source, I will do so. If I can't, just remember this: payback's a bitch, people! Sooner or later, all of you are going to cross the line. When you do, it's going to provoke such a backlash that I doubt very much there will be a nibshit alive when it's over. By the way, this isn't a threat. It's a prophecy. Despite all the decades of government propaganda and brainwashing, there are still many Americans who can think, reason and plan. When those people reach their breaking point, the chaos that will ensue will make your worst nightmares of Armageddon or Ragnarok look like kiddy games, and you are fast pushing them to that point.

Please note that I am not advocating armed rebellion against the government of the United States. What I am doing is warning you that if you continue on your present course, you will provoke it. All that your efforts to control and restrict the American people are doing is ensuring that your worst nightmares will come to pass.

I'll repeat what I said last week: If you pass laws to force others to follow your beliefs, I'll ignore them. Try to enforce them, and I'll resist. Attack me, and I'll kill you. And I doubt I'm the only one who feels that way.
