Government Is Cancer

I'm sure that some of you have noticed a gradual evolution in my thinking, as shown in some of my articles over the past few years. I started out as a "Bill of Rights" libertarian, and still believe that the Bill of Rights, along with the Covenant of Unanimous Consent and the Zero Aggression Principal should be a linchpin of society. Gradually, however, the actions of the administration forced me to become a mini-anarchist, believing that only a minimal government was either necessary or desirable.

Now, however, my views have changed even more, again due to the incompetent Chimpanzee-in-Chief occupying the Oval Office.

No one knows exactly what causes cancer. Oh, sure, there are various theories, but no one knows the exact mechanism that starts the malignancy. I have my own theory, and would even be willing to bet that if it were ever investigated, it would be shown to be true in many, if not all, respects.

What is known, however, is that somewhere in the body, for some reason, a cell changes and, depending on what kind of cancer and cell it is, begins an uncontrolled and ruinous growth, interfering with normal body function(s). There are only two ways to treat cancer that I know of, once it is established. One is chemo-therapy, poisoning the entire body in an attempt to kill off the cancerous cells. The other is excision, surgically removing the cancer. The drawback to both of these methods is that every cancerous cell has to be killed or removed to be absolutely sure that the cancer is defeated, and even then, there is no guarantee that it won't develop again.

Ladies and Gentlemen, government is cancer! It spreads until it destroys the body politic, just like cancer destroys the physical body. What starts out as a response to a 'wrongness,' gradually grows out of control, tainting and darkening everything it comes in contact with. Once it is established, there is no cure. The only way to beat it is to destroy it in some way.

For the purposes of this analogy, compare chemo to a constitutional convention. It loads the body with poison, attempting to change or destroy the cancer. Unfortunately, the side effects can be as bad or worse than the disease itself, and there is no guarantee it will work, or if it does, that it will keep working.

As for surgery, that can be comparable to a revolution. Please note that I am not calling for or advocating any form of armed revolution against our current government. This is for comparison purposes only. Like surgery, to be effective, revolution can only truly succeed if it removes all traces of the disease (government.)

Let us say that in some fashion, either method would be successfully applied. How do we keep the cancer of government from recurring? I have seen articles talking about effective vaccinations for various types of cancer. For our purposes, the only effective vaccination against the cancer of government is rigid individual enforcement of the three documents mentioned above, the Bill of Rights, the Covenant of Unanimous Consent, and the Zero Aggression Principal.

In other words, if the government is ever successfully removed from our lives, the only way to prevent it from recurring is to immediately and forcefully resist any form of group coercion. In plain words, this is aggression against you, your individual rights, and you have not only the right, but the duty to respond with such force as to successfully repel the incursion. I am not saying to 'go postal' on anyone, please don't get me wrong. What I am saying is that if a group, such as a 'zoning committee,' or other such body, attempts to tell you what to do with land that you paid for, you tell them where to go, what to do on the way there, and assist them in getting there, if that should prove necessary. If any group tries to tell you that you have an 'obligation' to the group, one that you did not willfully and knowingly incur, you should use any means necessary to 'convince' them of the wrongness of their actions.

Nor am I saying to totally ignore the dynamics of any group or society you may be involved in. If you choose to be a part of a group that does not share your values and ideals, well, you can either stay a part of that group, or leave and either go it alone or find another group more suitable.

What is certain, however, is that if any form of group coercion or government is allowed to exist, it will eventually grow to become a life and society threatening cancer. This may take years, decades, or centuries, but it will happen, if any form of group is allowed to obtain or use any form of power.
