EDITORIAL MATTERS:
A great big Thank You! goes out to our Readers who stepped up and shelled out the cash to save our bacon! And save our bacon you Readers did, too. We have electricity, phone service, and propane (and it's gotten cold again. . . what happened to that promised Globular Warming, anyway?). We can't do it without you, dear Reader. Thank you. (Here's where they did it:) http://www.ncc-1776.org/donate.html Speaking of Readers, we would like to know just what kind of on-line goods and services you use or would use if they were TLE affiliates. We have quite a number of affiliate programs here which pay us a small commission on each click-and-purchase transaction, but if we had to live on that commission, we'd die. Maybe what we have isn't what you the Reader want and need? So send an email if there's some on-line "buy stuff" site you patronize (that has an affiliate program of course!), and we'll try to sign-up with them. This issue, we have a couple of new ones: Office Depot, and 1-800-Flowers.com. Cheaptickets.com, however, turned us down. So if you're needing office supplies or flowers, click away. If you need airplane tickets, you know where not to go! And now, welcome to the 407th issue of TLE! Ken Holder
