The Kaptain's Log
Credit The Libertarian Enterprise Your kindly Kaptain was recently the recipient of a Message From Beyond. Normally, I don't go for the psycho network voodoo stuff, but this experience was out of the usual... While soundly asleep and dreaming of sailing with a crew of nubile young maidens, my subconscious wishful thinking was suddenly interrupted by a quite different vision: before me on the quarter deck there appeared a figure garbed in linen shirt, waistcoat, knee- length breeches, buckled shoes and tri-cornered hat. His long hair was pulled back from his face and tied neatly in back. In his right hand he held a quill pen; in his left, a musket. "Speak, phantom, be ye spirit or flesh," sayeth I. "What would ye
with this poor sea-faring man?"
"Tell the people," he intoned, "Tell the people!" "Tell them what, Spirit?" I asked. "Look ye well," he replied, and I realised we were now somehow transported below decks to my cabin. The Spirit was pointing with the quill pen to the Kaptain's Log which lay open upon the table before us. "Tell the people," he repeated, "Tell the people..." There on the last page, I beheld, written in an 18th century hand, the following: "We, the undersigned, endorse Congressman Ron Paul for President of the United States of America." It was signed by many men, some with quite a flourish. I looked at the list of names, and there was something familiar about them, even to my Kanadian eyes. Then I remembered: they were the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Finally, if I may make so bold, I wish to suggest that the Ron Paul for President campaign (and any and everyone else) make posters, T- shirts, etc. of this endorsement. As the Spirit of '76 commanded me, "Tell the people!" Peace and Liberty,
