Attribute to The Libertarian Enterprise

On Monday the 18th of February, "Presidents Day", the day after this article appears, another Ron Paul "money bomb" fund raiser is scheduled. Please make sure that it drops with a blast heard 'round the world; don't let it be a dud. All those who long for peace, prosperity and liberty should do all that they can to make this a success.

So much hand-wringing has gone on recently over the outlook for Dr Paul's presidential campaign that many people have lost sight of an important fact: one of the best ways to force the government-licensed "mainstream" media to recognise the large and increasing number of Liberty-loving folk is still to contribute to the Ron Paul campaign. It is also a great way to bring the campaign's ideas to the attention of those who have not yet encountered them. Support, like curiousity, causes Google searches.

Some may not realise that Dr Paul's campaign has reached hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people who were previously cynical or apathetic. The message of Liberty which Doctor Ron Paul has so clearly presented has awakened a sleeping giant—the people of the United States. The Second American R3volution is now at hand, but it is imperiled by a sinister foe.

What is the greatest enemy of this R3volution? The statist lie that we have no chance and that we should, therefore, give up and go away at the first setback. This lie is no more true now than it was during the First American R3volution, so I hope that all friends of Liberty will take the following words to heart:

"These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.

"I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death."

—Thomas Paine (1737 - 1809)

This election year is only the start of this r3volution, but if we do not falter, 2008 A.D. will stand in history beside the year 1776; not as an end, but a starting point.

Never give up; never go away. What we fight for is nothing less than...

Peace and Liberty.
