EDITORIAL MATTERS:

Have you ever had one of those days? Dangerous Pat (who's doing very very well, by the way—I've been remiss in answering your inquiries, for which I apologize. I'm just a mess, is all). Anyway, Dangerous Pat suggested we have breakfast for dinner. We like breakfast, and we do that sometimes. "Corned-beef hash, eggs, and toast!" she suggested.

"Sounds good to me!" sez I, so I started putting it all together. Then I went to the pantry... no corned-beef hash! "How about a BLT-CE?" sez I. That's a BLT with also some cheese and a fried egg. That sounded good too, so I started putting that together. And what do you know, no lettuce! It's just one thing after another. Anyway, we had a BTCE finally. And very tasty it was, too. Yer just got to find yer joy where yer can. And sometimes it's by having breakfast for dinner.

June is almost over. Already. How time flies sometime. We're having a goodly bunch of that ol' Globular Warming up here in the Arizona Mountains. Beats that Globular Freezing we have in the winter!

If you're a fan of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe, or remember Isaac Asimov's character Wendell Urth, you will appreciate my surprise when I found myself in a car on the way back from a week-long visit to Chicago.

Leave Them to It
by Jim Davidson
Earlier tonight, I read a nice message from Darcy Richardson about our Florida affiliate. John Wayne Smith has graciously agreed to head up the party in that fine state. Darcy writes, in part, "We hope to become a recognized political party here in the Sunshine State no later than July 1 and have every intention of finding 27 electors and placing the Jay-Knapp ticket on the November ballot."

Why Gun Freedom is Important
by Darian Worden
Much is being said about the recently decided Heller case. Though I do prefer the guild of magic robes to respect our rights, nobody can revoke or restrict the individual right to own and carry weapons. They can only make it harder to practice.

The final decision in Heller v. District of Columbia is pretty much what most reasonable people expected.

Appeasement
by Jim Davidson
For several days, I've been reflecting on the term "appeasement" as it is being used by the Bush and McCain crowds in an attempt to justify further interventions in, say, Iran. This term comes into the political lexicon owing to what, in hindsight, proved to be errors on the part of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain in his negotiations with German Chancellor Adolf Hitler in the late 1930s.

Roll Back the Police State!
The Kaptain's Log

by Kaptain Kanada, aka Manuel Miles
In my article "Nobody is Safe in a Police State" I made reference to the evil farce of "airport security" and suggested that something be done about it. Something is being done now.
