Attribute to The Libertarian Enterprise

It's the day after receiving a massive overdose of L-Tryptophan and it occurs to me that we as "citizens/prisoners/Taxpayers" are well and truly phucked. The marxocrats are mere weeks away from taking the reigns of power, the tiller of the ship of state (phools!).

I was raised in a Society of Friends-Quaker/LDS family. Violence was never tolerated. It seemed unnatural to me to take a beating just because it's wrong to participate in violence. I was taught that if it is gods' will that I will suffer then so be it, my life is no more valuable than the other person. Turn the other cheek and all that shit. This is the Dogma I was raised with and subsequently rejected when I left my home, church and family 34 years ago.

I am now a firm believer in the power of leveraging strength against dogma. In my entire life I have never seen a more dogmatic President than the one that a majority of Americans have selected. He is against everything I am for and for everything I'm against. Neil, the ZAP concept meshes nicely with my pacifist upbringing and the reciprocal of the ZAP meshes nicely with my beleif that some people just need killin'. BO Plenty is going to tax us into prosperity, it's never worked before it won't work now.

Disarming the law abiding citizenry to reduce violence is idiocy that has been discussed in various forums here and elsewhere ad nauseum, ad infinitum. Bringing about a Global community at the cost of personal freedom is not something I agree with. Nor is it a world I want to live in. I have been told that we live in a civilized world and that our government is going to protect us from ourselves first and if we're lucky we'll survive this benevolence. A peek into what we will enjoy in the coming years:

Gun Owners not Welcome on Obama's White House Team

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Nov 13, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire via COMTEX/—The following was released today by the Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA):

In yet another example of hostility towards lawful firearm owners, the Obama transition team is weeding out applicants for White House positions who own firearms themselves, or who come from firearm-owning families.

Evidence of the Obama team's distaste for firearm owners may be found as Question 59 of a 63 item questionnaire administered by Obama staffers to all potential applicants for positions in the Obama White House. The question asks for sensitive information about firearms owned by the applicant and his/her family.

"Question 59 provides clear insight into how Obama and his people perceive firearm owners," said ISRA Executive Director Richard Pearson. The questionnaire poses a number of questions asking the applicant to reveal any unethical activities, or embarrassing Internet chats, then wraps up by asking if anyone in the applicant's family owns a firearm. Obviously, Obama feels that owning a firearm is akin to talking dirty in Internet chat rooms. But that should come as no surprise as, while an Illinois State Senator, Obama voted for SB1195—a provision of which called for gun owners to be registered in the same manner as sex offenders."

"Once again, we have to ask ourselves just what candidate Obama was talking about when he said he has 'respect' for the 2nd Amendment," commented Pearson. "If this latest assault on gun owners is considered a gesture of respect, then either Obama or myself is very confused."

A copy of the questionnaire may be found at www.isra-pvf.com/obamaquestionnaire.pdf

The ISRA is the state's leading advocate of safe, lawful and responsible firearms ownership. Founded in 1903, the ISRA has represented the interests of millions of law-abiding Illinois firearm owners.

This is everywhere. Virtually every gun rights group in the country is asking the same question. What will BO Plenty and his horde of helpful minions do to protect us from ourselves? I don't live in Illinois, but it is telling to see the consistency of his agenda. Those of us that don't call the cops every time the neighbor or his dog craps in your yard are going to have a problem. We all know the stats on violent crime vs Law Enforcement reponse times. The police are not here to protect us. This has all been covered before. My point here is how many people are going to stand up and say NO when BO Plenty and his brown shirts demand our disarmament? Who will defy the Fairness Doctrine? Who will defy the statist demand for more of our earnings? How much more liberty are we going to give up to secure the idiocracy? When are we going to grow the balls to quit talking and start doing something?

I very much believe in the Libertarian ideal. Some of us actually practice what we preach. The Libertarian party is a joke, a ball-less JOKE. We couldn't even get a county commissioner on the ballot here in Multnomah county. When I asked a simple question of the libertarian candidate regarding reduction or abolition of property taxes he told me my question was "simplistic and unrealistic". I asked him if he even knew what the base tax rate was per $1000 of valuation I was ignored and then asked to leave! I won't mention his name but he knows who he is and he has told me he reads the TLE "avidly". He has never to my knowledge participated in our discussions here.

It is AGAINST the law to advocate the Violent overthrow of the lawful authority. I can be killed by the government if I refuse to submit to their questioning or refuse to participate in the "stewardship of the community" by not paying my fair-share of taxes. I can be incarcerated for advocating the killing of government officials. So I won't advocate for such a thing. To do so would be Conspiracy to foment insurrection! Can't have that now can we?

I know this is a long way around the hen house as my Granma says. But What are we going to do and how are we going to achieve the society we as Libertarians want to live in? How are we going to get 300 million people to see the value of the liberty they take for granted? Call me cynical, call me crazy (everybody else does). Randy Weaver just wanted to be left alone, ditto the Branch Dividians.

How are we going to be allowed to be individuals as society slowly makes it illegal to be an individual?

How do like minded individuals get together and create such a society without killing anyone or getting killed in the process? It can't happen. The founding fathers didn't do us any favors making the right to self defense and the defense of others the SECOND amendment. It should have been the very FIRST amendment It should have read like this: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Attempted infringment shall be punished by death.

Prove me wrong, I double dog dare ya!
