Re: "A History of Freedom of Thought, Chapter V, Religious Toleration" by J.B. Bury

Bury does not discuss Virginia's Statute of Religious Freedom, one of the things TJ wished to be remembered for, or the American first Amendment. Admittedly we didn't live up to them all that well at first, but they are two major steps in growth of freedom of conscience and thought, as they do not have good order or security of state exceptions.

Scary sounds

The scariest sound I ever hear a cat make was when I caught mine cooing at the window sill to the pigeons outside. More than any yowl or hiss, this made me realize how totally predatory and cunning our furry little buds are.

There's a warning there about inappropriate trust. I'll leave it for y'all to figure out.
