Unfortunately, in the time since I composed my note on this topic, and today, the video has been removed for having "hate speech." [see Update below—Editor] Apparently this video contains similar content. Had you been like me and very curious about it, you'd have gone to the Youtube page for the video, and gotten the contact information for some of the persons responsible for what you are seeing. On the original video at minute mark 8:20 the pig van with the rectangle on top is broadcasting a noise signal that is designed to hurt. It is a new weapon in the war on freedom, built by some of the pigs in the evil defence contractor community. Notice how people begin t...o walk away holding their ears. Unfortunately, the noise is broadcast at a frequency that penetrates the skull. So you cannot simply cover your ears. You either have to get away from that van, or shoot out its antenna, or wear a headset that plays a cancelling noise (the inverse of the signal being broadcast by the evil fascist pigs and their pig van). These items were on the "more info" part of the original video screen at Youtube: Personal Information for Pittsburgh Chief of Police, who deemed this to be an unlawful assembly, even though no where in his job description or anyone elses that allows such un American actions. That would be a mistake, though. There is a "police riot." The people are peaceful and assembled lawfully under the first amendment. The pigs are rioting, threatening violence, and being aggressive. Under the zero aggression principle, as so...on as the sound attack weapon is turned on, as soon as the thugs begin beating their shields with their batons, threatening to smash in the faces of everyone present, anyone with a rifle would be engaged in defensive action to shoot every mother fucking pig there. It is correct to find the video disturbing. You are disturbed by what you know is wrong. It is valid to be sad. But you should also be present to what happened, and look for other interpretations that are also valid. When sadness arises for you, be present to this emotion, and the pain you feel connected to it. But don't be thrown by it. Don't be dissuaded from taking right action in the future. In short, do not despair. Consider for example that every revolution begins in this same way. The people in power abuse their power. At first they get away with it because everyone backs down. However, this result encourages them. When crowds of redcoats dominated Boston in March 1770, and fired on a crowd, killing five civilians, there was a reaction. That reaction included the activation of the Sons of Liberty. That reaction led to many incidents, including the Boston Tea Party of December 1773. The British responded by sending 8,000 troops who reached Boston in October 1774 to "pacify" the city (which had no government for ten months, by the way—anarchy worked fine, to the apparent amazement of local journalists and diary writers). That occupation led to the attempt in April 1775 to seize the armoury at Concord. On 19 April 1775, the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired. In 1781, facing a world war (Britain opposed by two provinces in India, by France, the United States, Holland, and Spain), the British sued for peace. There is no "saving the system" this time. But peace is coming, and it is coming in our day, that our children may know peace in their day. President Nixon ordered the Ohio national guard to Kent State University, and ordered that they shoot demonstrators there. These facts have been revealed in the archives of his taped phone conversations. You can look it up. As a result of the killing at Kent State, there was a popular uprising. Nixon was forced out of office. The CIA was "reformed" significantly. The Vietnam war was brought to an end. Yes, the killing in Ohio was wrong, it was sad, and it was horrid. There is no getting back those lives. Yes, there is a valid response to be sad, to be outraged, and to be horrified. But it was also valid for people to act. And while it is sad that they stopped at half measures, and did not keep going until Nixon was tried, convicted, and executed, until the Pentagon and the CIA headquarters were razed to the ground, until every secret document was published and every military contractor stripped of their wealth and income and made to pay compensation to their victims, there was a popular uprising, there was a response, and there were changes. I am not going to kid you because you don't deserve to be treated dishonourably. I'm not going to say it is all going to be roses. It isn't. The people in power are going to be more ugly and more violent. People like you and me are going to die at their hands. Hundreds will die and tens of thousands will suffer violence. But I remind you that the country is very large, the hinterland is very empty, and the people are armed. These facts are not much comfort when you cradle the bloody mangled mess of your child or your best friend. But these facts sustained the American Revolution, and they should sustain the Agorist revolution. Change is coming. Peace is coming. In response to this note on my Facebook profile, L. Neil pointed out: "Noise-cancelling headgear is readily available at any decent sporting goods emporium, It is used to protect one's hearing in the presence of gunfire, and it seems to work much better than ordinary ear-protectors. Forensically (in the sense... of debate) this is the ultimate act of shouting someone down. The trough-feeders responsible must be told, and told now, that real Americans believe they should be summarily removed from office and jailed.
