THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE Number 725, June 16, 2013 The only reason we have plane and subway and shoe bombers in America is because America seems like a country in dire need of a good plane, subway, or shoe bombing to foreigners.

Please share this with everyone you can. Bill Kristol doesn't get it On 10 June 2013 The Huffington Post published the following following in which Mr. Kristol, a conservative [ jackass would be a better description, Kkristol has been a public jackass for decades now—Editor ], defended NSA's indiscriminate snooping of people's phone records as necessary to national security and that the Republicans were acting incorrectly lumping this in with the other scandals affecting Mr. Obama. He is incorrect, of course. It is the American people, not the GOP, who see things this way. In the spirit of partisan politics the Republicans are just trying to get on this band wagon. If the GOP was in power the Democrats would be playing the same card. The fact is that since at least the Nixon Administration (when I was finally old enough to understand what I was seeing) the Government of the US has consistently and under both parties engaged in "a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism" against the American people. Both parties are guilty of this and it is disingenuous in the extreme for them to pretend otherwise. They frequently claimed they were "doing it for our own good," and maybe they even believed that. A man left homeless by a people burning out a nest of plague infested rats is no less homeless than a man burnt out by an arsonist creating a distraction for some other felony. Those seeking political office could do worse than to run on a platform of ending this pattern, those holding it can do nothing better to hold their power by using it to end the war on American freedom. Ain't happening, of course, but you can't blame a guy for wishing the revolution could be bloodless. A.X. Perez
El Neil's video mention a few weeks ago I have been curious about this since I saw Neil's email on it: ["Editorial Matters", Issue 722] You folks remember that El Neil sent us a link of a YouTube video with a conversation between two fellows, years ago, where one mentions Neil and his idea of dropping (pasteurized) hog urine on the Iranians who held embassy personnel hostage as an inducement to release them...? Well, you may have noticed the video itself was several hours long, yet the link cued straight to the part where Neil is mentioned (some 2 hrs 7 min into it, IIRC). I wondered how that was done—sending a YouTube link that cues up where you want it to vs. at the beginning. Here's how: This fellow's website explains it simply <= click there ... One adds this formula to the end of whatever hyperlink you send: #t=31m08s—which gets you 31 minutes, 8 seconds into the video when played from that link. The formula would be... #t=__m__s ...fill in the blanks with numerical minutes and seconds. I don't know if the one Neil sent used, say, "127m" to skip the first 2 hours and 7 minutes, or if there's a way to append hours with an "h" much like the minutes and seconds. Also don't know if you must use a leading zero on the seconds or not, or must use a leading zero when cuing to less under 10 minutes. Ted Ball
I was going to write a book review for The End is Near and It's Going to Be Awesome by Kevin D Williamson but I think the link below takes you to one that says most of what I'd have said and does it better. Worth a look. http://www.newcriterion.com/articles.cfm/Right-at-the-end-7677 Ian Titter
