Re: "Keep Them On Their Toes" (Letter from L. Neil Smith)

Neil

Funny thing—Just last night I was thinking that you ought to take another crack at it with Mary Ruwart as running mate. Would be a great ticket combining the best of the harder and softer side of Libertarianism. Rational national defense, inalienable right to self defense and respecting a neighbor's choices. People will say you are both unelectable but I'm so tired of a country that borrows money from China to give away to other countries and sends SWATT teams to bust under age drinkers for bottled water among countless other abuses—and never having any candidates who are serious about addressing these issues. With the GOP in disarray it's now or never for Libertarians.

Like the guy who wrote the article on the George Zimmerman trial said: we definitely need a new country. A new makeover for America. Short of escaping to the asteroids, the best thing is saving our current nation state from tyranny- or we'll never make it out there. And I don't think the rest of the world will be very welcoming of American refugees.

To which Mr. Smith replied:

As you may know, I saw America breaking apart in my Ngu Family novels. The line was the one described by historian Walter Prescott Webb, in Illinois, where the forest stops and the prairie begins.

In my novels, the line continues up through Canada, western Canadians being much more like us than they are eastern Canadians. So, in effect, the border has rotated ninety degrees.

I believe that this is roughly what's going to happen. Don't know what will occur with regard to Texas, California, or the west coast provinces.

As for running, I like and respect Mary very much. I don't know her well. I wouldn't be surprised if the idea revolted her, after what she's been through. We all still owe that pig Wayne Allyn Root a boot up the ass for spreading lies about her. As for me, I wish I were as healthy and active as Ron Paul, who is eleven years older than I am.

Stranger things have happened, though, and the enemy is presently at his weakest in over a century.

Re: "Tomorrow" by L. Neil Smith

Nelson said: "Great article ruined by the phrase (never fuck with the geeks.) What a shame. I could not send it to my friends. You have a talent. Avoid vulgarity and you will succeed."

Thank you for your advice, Nelson. For what it's worth, I've been writing professionally for 44 years, and presently have 33 books, and about four million words, that I've been paid to write, in public print.

As a professional, I choose my words carefully and very seldom make use of those that people like you find "naughty". However, that doesn't stop me when no other word will do. Any other choice would have weakened that sentence. You had to use the word yourself, to indicate what you were talking about, and a set of parantheses didn't make it any less naughty than it is.

Even the FCC now allows te use of that word on radio and TV. So perhaps a more practical alternative would be for you to grow up and accept the fact that other people are going to use language in ways that you don't approve of. And maybe you should get some new friends.

Believe me, there are a lot of more important things we need to deal with.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Store....

This occurred to me on the way to the grocery store.

Traditionally, since the mid 60's, minorities vote Democrat. Blacks vote 90%+ Democrat. Latinos/Hispanic vote 70%+ Democrat. Despite the fact the Democrats are the ones who fought viciously against integration and Civil Rights, they have somehow managed to lie their way into owning the minority vote. I guess you CAN buy votes. But I digress.

For years, I have heard of Whites, Blacks, and Browns. And you can NEVER cross the lines. Let a black and a white have a kid, and you get a black child. After all, Obama isn't considered white, now is he? Let a Hispanic person and a white person have a child, that child is considered by most to be Hispanic. Hispanic and black, the child is considered by most to be black. Until now.

Saturday night, that changed for good. George Zimmerman, a man who never had been considered white before, was acquitted of 2nd Degree Murder for killing a black teen in self defense because, according to the media, Rev. Al, the NAACP, the New Black Panthers, and most liberals, because he's white. We all know that he was supposedly a "White Hispanic", a descriptive term never before heard in the media. This tells me the media just handed the Republicans a wonderful gift. 50 million more whites to try to get to vote Republican. After all, according to liberals, the Republicans are the party of the white man. Since Hispanics are no longer a minority (being whites now) the Republican party should be their party. After all, George Zimmerman, White Hispanic, is now ranked as a Conservative white man, gun owner and racist, according to the media. That makes him a Republican.

Let's see how that goes down with the liberals out there.

Please note—as a Libertarian, I don't give a shit where they go. Our goal is to convince the smart people of both parties where they should really go.

Resolution

I have posted the following to Facebook. I disavow any claims of originality in this statement. I stand by the sentiment and opinions expressed:

My fellow Americans, after reading what people of all races have had to say re: the Zimmerman-Martin case it is obvious to me that many of us are sick with an illness called racism, perhaps all of us to varying degrees. I choose to not be sick with this illness, or at least not get sicker than I already am. How well this will work I will have to see. In the mean time, I cannot advise you how to get well, what medicine to take, which doctor to see, But get yourselves well before you die of your illness. I must warn you that it will do you no good to turn to political leaders, of any race, to help you with it as they are the sickest of us all and in fact seem to profit too greatly from it to wish to help the rest of us and our society.

The Great Fort Collins Trayvon Demonstration

Our Fort Collins correspondent writes:

When we saw the announcement that there was to be a huge "Justice for Trayvon" rally at the courthouse in Fort Collins, Colorado, the wife and I put on our Kevlar and headed for the Mau-Mau Uprising. There must have been some kind of scheduling mixup, because when we got there we saw one White girl with a "Justice for Trayvon" sign on one corner, and across the street there was another White girl with the same sign, and yet another White girl near the second one sitting in a lawn chair fanning herself. None of them seemed to be claiming that she was Trayvon. We drove around the block a few times, but that was it. My wife made some sort of hand signal to them (not the one in the picture) and we left. (In case you think I'm kidding, here's the report from the Local Paper.)

An Audacious Proposal:

Whereas, Obamacare is unpopular and many doctors are threatening to retire; and,
Whereas, the pricing structure of Obamacare will so distort the market as to make it difficult, if not impossible, to continue and/or sustain various medical specialities, practices, and procedures;

Therefore,
The US Government finds it necessary to institute a Draft of retired and underutilized medical professionals in order to sustain the practice of medicine, wherein said drafted physicians will be paid at the same rate as GS-13 federal employees without regard for location, speciality, and experience, and drafted nursing and medical technicians will be paid at appropriate GS rates based on speciality, and, further,

That qualified high school graduates, without regard to race, gender, gender preference, or personal choice of profession, shall be Drafted to fill positions in government-funded premedical, nursing,, and medical technician programs; said draft to not consider academic performance in high school to be more important than social development; with the further requirement that premedical students who fail of admission to medical schools shall be retrained for nursing or medical technical positions, with successful personnel paid at the same rates as specified above.

Welcome to the future of medicine in Amerika.

WatermelonGate
The "news" media made it up:
Trayvon Martin HAD NO ICE TEA

The lamestream media told you:

Trayon Martin was a helpless young teenager armed with only a bag of Skittles candy and a container of ice tea when he was ruthlessly stalked and murdered by George Zimmerman, a wannabe cop who was really a self-appointed vigilante.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

Trayvon Martin HAD NO ICE TEA

Trayvon Martin was carrying no ice tea when he met George Zimmerman.

The news media fabricated the ice tea "fact" to promote a story that is false.

The "ice tea" factoid has led to national unrest and a show trial for which the news media is solely responsible. An ethics investigation should be mandatory. The AP and SPJ have no plans for an ethics investigation for the lies.

The trial ended without a conviction because none was in order. No one in the media has been held responsible yet for the harm they have caused.

Trayvon Martin had a can of:

"Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail." It contains no tea.

Does that matter?
Is this just a small detail?
Why would the "news" media suppress this,
or change this fact?
Is it even true?

I have seen the crime evidence photo. You can too. Anyone can, including the media. Anderson Cooper on CNN displayed the can and called it ice tea. ("Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!") There is no tea in it. It is Watermelon Juice. And you know why they changed it:

The media won't say "Watermelon" because it fits a black racial profile the media seeks to suppress.

WatermelonGate

There is racial profiling at work here,
but it's not from the defendant—
it's from the news media.

The media is lying about Watermelon Juice because it fits the racial profile of blacks and watermelon, and they can't stand that. It makes them so crazy they would rather lie, mislead you and violate their Code Of Ethics than report it.

And this is the ugly underbelly of this entire affair. The news media in the United States has become grotesquely racist and it permeates everything the media does. They deny this with every fiber of their being. They pretend it doesn't matter, but they act on it with every word they speak. CNN, NBC, FOX, all of them without exception.

Media bias appears to be grounded in a simple psychological phenomenon —white guilt.

But even that is secondary, an issue we'll get to in a moment. It colors and effects everything they do, and blinds them to everything they ought to do.

Here's the real question, that they never asked:

Why was Trayvon Martin out on a rainy night buying Watermelon Juice?

The answer comes from his cell phone and social media pages. These were not allowed into evidence at the Zimmerman self-defense trial—which is proper. I agree with suppressing that evidence, because it was not known to Zimmerman when the incident occurred. It did not belong in the trial.

But it belonged in the news. It was available to the media and suppressed by them, because it would present Trayvon in a true light. Failure to present it inflamed the public, instigated the protests, fueled the race baiters, fed the hate. The racist media made that happen by inventing facts and hiding facts.

Self defense trial, or a murder trial?

The media, as you know, insisted on calling this a murder trial, but to anyone who owns a gun, or understands the law even a little, or understands Zimmerman's claim—or ever worried about facing a similar circumstance after defending your own fate on a dark and rainy night— this was and turned out to be: A Self-Defense Trial.

Trayvon Martin was out buying a sweet drink to make "Lean." That's ghetto slang for a potent combination of cough syrup, candy and soft drink. Here's the dialog, as posted at AmericanThinker.com:

"Trayvon, in fact, had become a devotee of the druggy concoction known as "Lean," also known in southern hip-hop culture as "Sizzurp" and "Purple Drank." Lean consists of three basic ingredients—codeine, a soft drink, and candy. If his Facebook postings are to be believed, Trayvon had been using Lean since at least June 2011.

"On June 27, 2011, Trayvon asks a friend online, "unow a connect for codien?" He tells the friend that "robitussin nd soda" could make "some fire ass lean." He says, "I had it before" and that he wants "to make some more." On the night of February 26, if Brandy had some Robitussin at home, Trayvon had just bought the mixings for one "fire ass lean" cocktail."

Trayvon, the clean-cut 11-year-old pictured by the "news" media was actually a six-foot-tall football player who had been suspended from school three times, and when confronted by a school security guard for writing "WTF" on a school locker, was found with 12 pieces of jewelry, a watch and a "burglary tool" in his backpack, according to that published report.

The "news" media has yet to be held up on ethics charges for instigating this whole affair.

In other news, 11 young black men were murdered, presumably by other black men, in predominantly black areas of Chicago, on Independence Day. Those grieving parents have received no coverage, no followup reports, and no attention from major national race baiters like Jess Jackson and Al Sharpton. The latter a commentator on MSNBC, who has been staging well-covered protests in the WatermelonGate affair.
