Attribute to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise

Elsewhere in this issue of L. Neil Smith's THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE you will discover a brace of messages from my old friends J. Neil Schulman and Brad Linaweaver, concerning a review of their respective works written by Davi Barker and placed on the Silver Circle website by its proprietor, my somewhat newer good friend Pasha Roberts.

Schulman (as he's known around the house to avoid confusion) and Brad asked Pasha for a chance to rebut the review and Pasha, as is his right, declined. I stepped in to provide them with space here, out of what I feel is fairness, and because Barker is quantity known to me: if he said the sun was rising, I'd go outside and check.

Beyond that, I'm not taking sides, or in any way getting between these powerfully talented and uniquely valuable human beings. For one thing, two of them are significantly larger than I am, and I'd get squished. For another they have not hired me to be the judge of the matter, and if they tried, I'd flee for the hills. As far as I'm concerned, my part ends with the publication of these messages.

I have very favorably reviewed Schulman's movie Alongside Night in these virtual pages, and—pardon the spoiler—I will be reviewing Pasha's splendid animated movie, The Silver Circle next week. Having no real part in any disagreement between them (Pasha tells me he thought the whole thing was over weeks ago) and believing that the Work is everything, I'm now going to shut up and go back to it.

I suggest they do the same.
