California robs the poor again.... A gun buyback in Kahleeforneeyah netted 898 guns and one Hand Grenade. [LINK] So, how did they rob the poor? By screwing them over on the prices paid, then they will probably destroy valuable property rather than sell it at auction, or even better, consign them to gun shops. They only paid $100 per handgun (as we all know, the $100 handgun is rare) and $150 per long gun (Even rarer). I sure hope Hand Grenade Boy got more than $100. I bet those things aren't cheap! I just wish I'd been there with a few thousand dollars to make parking lot purchases.......

She was one tough Mama. [LINK] (Isn't it funny it's a BRIT paper reporting on a South Carolina shooting?) This lady, robbed in 2011, got training and a CCW license at 74. 2 years later, three people assault her. She shot one in the stomach after being shot twice herself. She died, but all three perps were captured and charged with murder. The wounded scumbag ALSO got hit with a family warrant for $80k in back child support. If he gets out, he's going to be headed for a bank....

A 76-year-old woman was killed in a shootout as a gang tried to rob her outside her South Carolina home in the early hours of Saturday.
Dorothy Hendrix was shot twice by the gang of two men and a woman, but she managed to shoot one of her assailants in the stomach before dying of her wounds.
Steven Hagood, Tereba Geer, and Bradacious Galloway have all been charged with murder.

The Republican led house again sucks Democrat Victim Disarmers dicks, passing the so-called plastic gun ban extension. [LINK] Get it through your thick fucking heads, you useless politicians—there is no such thing as a plastic gun. It is a blatant lie used to get theoretically pro-gun rights Republicans to cave... and it worked again. But we expect nothing less from Republicans these days. It's only the few TEA Party Republicans who actually keep their word—Like Ted, Rand, and Mike.

Congress assembled the figures, and posted the report. Gun ownership is up from 192 million in 1994 to 310 million in 2009. [LINK] from the story:

According to the report (.pdf), the "firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide" rate was 6.6 per 100,000 Americans in 1993. Following the exponential growth in the number of guns, that rate fell to 3.6 per 100,000 in 2000.

This rate rose from 2004 to 2005 and got as high as 3.9 in 2006 and 2007, but it then resumed falling in 2008, the year the Supreme Court ruled in District of Columbia v. Heller that individual firearm possession is Constitutionally protected -- particularly for self-defense. This figure fell to 3.2 per 100,000 by 2011.

But of course the Victim Disarmament Crowd will deny the empirical evidence. Facts and figures only count if they support the gun grabbers, as we all know.

Additionally, the overall murder rate dropped from 9.0 per 100,000 in 1994 to 4.7 in 2011. The overall number of estimated murder victims fell from 23,326 in 1994 to 14,612 in 2011. For estimated firearms-related murder victims, those numbers are 16,333 in 1994 and 9,903 in 2011.

Another irrelevant fact for the people opposing the 2nd Amendment.

Don't you DARE provoke the police in any way, because if they shoot and miss, YOU get charged for whoever their misses wound. [LINK] I understand that a disturbed man can be dangerous. I even understand that they (quite falsely) believed he had a gun when he reached into his pocket. I do not believe they should have fired until they recognized a gun , but whatever. HOWEVER, the shooter is the one responsible for every round s/he discharges. If I shoot at a burglar in my house, and the bullet misses the burglar, travels through a wall, and hits my neighbor, the police will ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY charge ME with a misdemeanor at best, and a felony at worst.

The man, Glenn Broadnax, 35, of Brooklyn, created a disturbance on Sept. 14, wading into traffic at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue and throwing himself into the path of oncoming cars.
A curious crowd grew. Police officers arrived and tried to corral Mr. Broadnax, a 250-pound man. When he reached into his pants pocket, two officers, who, the police said, thought he was pulling a gun, opened fire, missing Mr. Broadnax, but hitting two nearby women. Finally, a police sergeant knocked Mr. Broadnax down with a Taser.

Again, we don't totally agree, but we sure as hell agree far more than we disagree.

This man is absolutely disgusting, and needs to be drummed out of the service. [LINK] Just read some of his "plank" on guns—

1. The only guns permitted will be the following:

a. Smoothbore or Rifled muzzle-loading blackpowder muskets. No 7-11 in history has ever been held up with one of these.
b. Double-barrel breech-loading shotguns. Hunting with these is valid.
c. Bolt-action rifles with a magazine capacity no greater than five rounds. Like I said, hunting is valid. But if you cannot bring down a defenseless deer in under five rounds, then you have no fking reason to be holding a killing tool in the first place.

2. We will pry your gun from your cold, dead, fingers. That is because I am willing to wait until you die, hopefully of natural causes. Guns, except for the three approved categories, cannot be inherited. When you die your weapons must be turned into the local police department, which will then destroy them. (Weapons of historical significance will be de-milled, but may be preserved.)

So we can see how much his oath means to him (assuming he actually IS a member of the armed services, and not another liar taking on imaginary accomplishments to enhance his image). It means nothing. I thinks this asshole's words speak for themselves.
