You may not think that the fundamental right
to be a drooling moron has been enshrined in
our nation's Bill of Rights, but it has.

The national anthem is a beautiful song. I don’t suppose those first shivers sent down my spine by Jimi Hendrix’s guitar will ever be totally forgotten. I’m fairly certain that others reading this had that same reaction to Jimi’s Woodstock performance. But as I think back on it now, I can’t help but feel betrayed. (I suspect Jimi felt the same way at the time of that performance and that is what the magic he captured actually represented.) Maybe it’s kind of like that first time that you realize your parents have lied to you.

When that finally happened to me, it wasn’t over Santa Clause...

It was far worse—and almost a decade later—the feeling of hurt and betrayal, still hasn’t gone away.

Hurt and Betrayal—yeah, that’s what it feels like when I’m watching a ball game and I hear the National Anthem. Hurt and Betrayal—when I’m at a ball game and I’m supposed to stand up and "honor my country."

You know, I feel like standing up alright. But putting my hand over my heart isn’t quite what’s on my mind; I want to stand up and just start screaming, "If we are going to honor this country we need to get our rifle’s—get to a roof top—and start actually defending OUR RIGHTS! We need to stop suckling at the syphilitic tit that our government has become and tell the damned NSA, BATFE, the FBI and the local cops to mind their own mutha-fucking business."

What we don’t need to do anymore is keep on believing the lies jammed down our throats by the public school system, the mass-media and the goddamned police.

EXACTLY what WE shouldn’t do anymore, is stand up for the national anthem! In fact, when Faith Hill beautifully sings, "for the land of the free and the home of the brave" we need to hang our heads and cry...

This isn’t the land of the free anymore, and it certainly isn’t the home of the brave. If it were, why do we suffer under the tyranny that we currently endure? I’m mad at myself in this regard. I wonder; why do I write this? Why don’t I just do what my principles so clearly indicate? Maybe I just don’t want to have my house surrounded, while the police try to tear gas me out, and the mass media claims that I’m a child molester...

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands one Nation, under God, in-divisible, with liberty and justice for all."

"Liberty and Justice for all", yeah, unless you are Rodney King, Erik Scott or Jeffrey Weinhause. Or a whiskey guy during the Shays rebellion, or a Southerner during the "Civil War" (It wasn’t about slavery folks. "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because it helps to save the union."—Abraham Lincoln)

You know, I’m starting to think that maybe looking through this point of view, there’s no way I’m going to fit in.

I won’t pledge allegiance to the Yankee war flag, the flag that flew as "Our Government" nuked countless innocent souls off of the face of this planet towards the end of WW2. (I’m putting out my Gadsden flag and the Circle of Stars this 4th of July.) I don’t consent to this "Government." (As it happens I don’t believe in or consent to God either. But that’s another story.)

I might consent, if the "state" (I think a group of thieves and murderers is more accurate) even had the common courtesy to pretend that they still needed it! (Maybe the same type of deal with God. If he had asked me if I wanted to come to this rodeo I might be more enamored with what is seemingly bullshit.) But that’s not how it worked out on either account.

Am I the only one that feels like decisions in my life are being made by others? I mean, we all saw what happened with Ron Paul in 08 and 2012, did we not? Wasn’t it as clear to everyone else as it was to me that "voting the bastards out" is no longer an option? The GOP isn’t slightly less bad, it is the flip side of the same coin. And the guy flipping it is a; One-World-Government, Nazi/Stalinist-Statist, fuck-head, intent on taking a giant, nearly smothering-too-death, shit on top of the entire productive classes, head.

Therefore I don’t pledge allegiance, I don’t support the troops and I don’t think or feel that this is a country of the free or a home of brave men and women anymore.

And that disgusts me. So many risked and lost so much for what we once had....

A few weeks ago Jim Morrison’s drunkenly raved words ravaged my brain. "What are you gonna do about it? You’re all just a bunch of fucking slaves! And what are you gonna do about?!" Today the words of Johnny Cash haunt me; are we already irrevocably, un-retrievably "stuck in Folsom Prison?" Is all that is left to us to simply and finally, "hang our heads and cry"?

Seeing as how we can’t vote them out—seeing as how they will imprison or kill us if we refuse to pay their "taxes" our options are devastatingly limited; either accept the dealt-from-the-bottom-of- the-deck hand, we’ve been given, or flip the poker table over and start shoving the chips up the dealers asses!

Friends, family and fellow country-men, it HAS come to that.
