In a previous post, Hall

MY response would be "I shipped them to an out of state relative."
This poor guy decides to straighten out his life and get sober. NOW
the state confiscates his guns.
Under Connecticut law, police can
seize weapons and hold them for up to a year if an individual is
deemed to pose a risk of "imminent personal injury to self or others."
Last
year alone in Connecticut, there were more than 180 instances of
people having their firearms confiscated on this basis.
Following the link in the last quote, you see lamentations about how
bad it is that cops actually have to RETURN the seized guns. Well,
excuse me, but if the person is not adjudicated mentally incompetent,
WHAT FUCKING RIGHT DOES THE STATE HAVE TO STEAL CONSTITUTIONALLY
PROTECTED PROPERTY?

So, on top of forcing a large portion of Americans onto the part

wants to put 220,000 more people on the UE rolls.

Any way they can, the scumbags in the CA legislature is trying to ban
as many guns as they can.
Back in 2000, California legislators instituted a system
supposedly intended to protect the state's citizens from cheap, poorly
made, unreliable handguns—you know, the kind poor people can afford
and that you would prefer criminals to have as opposed to accurate and
reliable ones. They called them "junk guns" and said they should be
banned because they were disproportionately being used in crime.
Instead of trying to make a list of "evil features" like they've done
with "assault weapons," the legislature went the opposite route,
creating a roster of approved, "safe" handguns, and banning as
"unsafe" any handgun that is not listed on the roster. In order for a
gun to be included on the roster, it must be submitted to a panel of
"experts" who test and evaluate it in accordance with a long,
convoluted list of criteria. Gun companies are charged for this
"service," and must pay thousands of dollars for evaluation of each
model and variation they wish to sell in the state. Even cosmetic
features such as a gun's color and finish are included in this
requirement, resulting in idiotic situations where one gun is declared
"safe" while an identical gun of the same make and model is listed as
unsafe simply because it has a nitride, rather than a blued finish and
the manufacturer didn't pay to have the nitride version evaluated. In
the real world this would be called extortion.
Yes, it WOULD be called extortion. Because it is.

identify the total BS involved in the current attack on the so-called

This one comes from The Gunny, but it's basically the same thing I've
read from several of you fine people.
While it is true that Oklahoma voters have rejected Obama's vision
for the country across all seventy seven counties, there still remains
a big liberal influence. This was demonstrated the other day as a
state senator demanded county sheriffs disarm themselves before
entering the capital for an annual "meet and greet" with legislatures.
Among those asked to leave was Wagoner County Sheriff, Bob Colbert.
Sheriff Colbert is one of many county sheriffs and other law
enforcement officials who have made it perfectly clear to President
Obama that his gun control efforts will not be enforced in their
jurisdictions. In other words, these honorable men understand the
significance of their oath of office. They understand the constitution
and the power it gives the people, not the government. They understand
that good people exercising the right to keep and bear arms are
nothing but an asset to their efforts in fighting crime, and they
understand a disarmed populace is a helpless populace. This is why
Sheriff Colbert and Oklahoma's other elected sheriffs, when faced with
the prospect of either disarming or leaving the capital, chose to
leave fully armed with their honor intact. Good for them.

Let me make this crystal clear—I do not give a flying fuck whether
the young man disobeyed a police order. What I DO give a flying fuck
about is that this cop deliberately, and with malice of forethought,
broke the arm of a person down on the ground, and unable to resist.
And the asshole who said;
"The young man was refusing to
comply with the officer, and once again we don't see what happened to
cause the officer to subdue him. Officer says "don't move", you don't
move. Don't condemn unless you know the whole story," wrote Martin
Scott.
is full of it. There is no excuse at all for this action. This man
is correct:

break the student's arm.

can clearly see that was intentional. He used his weight as leverage.
The average person knows the [range] of motion of the human arm and he
knew what he was doing," wrote Scott.
This was a criminal assault upon a helpless victim, and needs to be
punished as such.

NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine (AP)—Police armed with assault rifles
descended on a Maine man's home after members of a tree removal crew
he'd told to clear off his property reported that he had a gun.
Turns out the "gun" the tree crew had seen on Michael Smith of
Norridgewock was just a life-sized tattoo of a handgun on his stomach.
Smith, who works nights, was asleep when the tree crew contracted
by a utility to trim branches near power lines, woke him up at about
10 a.m. Tuesday.
He went outside shirtless and yelled at the workers to leave. When
he's not wearing a shirt, the tattoo looks like a gun tucked into his
waistband.

Ares Armor, a company that sells AR15 lower receivers that are 80%
complete (which are NOT firearms under US law) which allows you, the
buyer, to build a paperless AR, is under fire from the BATFE.

After threatening the company in order to intimidate them into
providing information they have no supposedly legal right or authority
to obtain in the first place. So the company got a restraining order
against the BATFE. A hearing was scheduled for March 20th. From the
first link:
"I have been unjustly threatened
with raids and criminal charges in an attempt by the BATFE to obtain
information that is private and protected," Karras stated in his filed
declaration. "The BATFE has expressed interest in obtaining Ares
Armor's customer list in the past and is now attempting to strong-arm
us with undue threats based on information they know to be incorrect."
"The government invades our privacy on a daily basis and everyone
seems to think that it's OK," Karras said to KSWB, adding he hopes
"the judicial system will come in and say, 'You know this is private
information, it's protected, and no you're not taking it from them.'"
"For the time we are SAFE!" Karras exclaims with a sigh of relief,
but there's no telling how close he and his workers came to staring
down the barrels of ATF weapons.

On Saturday, the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives raided Ares Armor in an
effort to obtain customer lists that were protected by a restraining
order. Ares Armor manufactures components such as the lowers that
people use to build their own AR-15. It has always been perfectly
legal to do so and through an ongoing struggle Ares actually obtained
a restraining order to protect the privacy of their customer database.
They did however agree to turn over components to the ATF. That was
not enough. On Saturday it ceased to matter.
The law doesn't matter to the BATFE. Restraining orders don't matter.
If they don't like what a judge tells them, they just weasel their way
around the orders. Our useless government violating the rules under
which they are supposed to operate yet again. Remind me again of the
Quote of the Day from Standing Wolf (in last week's rant)
The Constitution is a restraining order against the federal
government. I'm not going to say a word about the effectiveness of
restraining orders against criminals.

Apparently, the citizens of Connecticut do not have a right to oppose
an anti-Constitutional law, OR to get rid of a scumbag governor. he

As Connecticut is in the midst of avery
serious
situation regarding
guns
and gun registration, Governor Dannel Malloy attended a town
meeting this week to address constituents at John Barry Elementary
School in Meriden, Connecticut. During that event, a pro-gun citizen,
who has opposed the
legislation
signed into law by Malloy, which requires gun owners to register
their semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines or be
considered felons, asked how Malloy could push legislation that is
against law abiding gun owners while abolishing the death penalty and
offered early release for violent criminals. Malloy's answer was not
to point to the State Constitution, but to point to the people's
desire to "feel safe." In that respect, he told the questioner that
the legislation regarding gun registration had gone through each
branch of government and "your side lost." In essence, Malloy said,
"Get over it."
Malloy told a constituent who asked about the constitutionality of
the gun registration law, "One court has already decided... courts are
where the constitutionality of these things are decided."
"You've thrown that term around," Malloy said with a smirk,
speaking of the term "constitutional." "It's gone to the court, and
guess what? You lost."

On a personal note—it's been a really rough week here at the Osborn
compound. Little Gracie, our 7 year old Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel/Poodle mix love sponge ate a carpet and obstructed her bowels.
Despite the surgical intervention, she passed away a few hours later.
Marie (my 9 year old daughter) demanded that we get another dog,
because "Gracie would only leave us if she knew someone else needed us
more.' Little Chewie, a Cavalier King Charles/Bichon Friese/ some
studly mutt that walked through a back yard at the wrong/right time,
came home last night (Friday) at 8:15, and began stealing hearts
immediately. The hole in our hearts is still there, but it's beginning
to heal. my apologies if this one is less than expected.
NOTE—Mama Liberty has not been able to provide an article this
week. Perhaps I'll con her out of two next week.
