EDITORIAL MATTERS The United States of America
So what do we call the thing that remains in Washington City and in our way everywhere? I suggest "The Newnited Snakes of America"—at least until something better suggests itself. Am I over-reacting to the rulling that words don't mean what they actually say, but mean something else which the majority of the court says is desirable? If a law is badly written, it is not unconstitutional, it just needs the Court to rewrite it for Congress. No extra charge. It seems "exchange established by the state" means something else other than what it says. Of course, I never went to law school, I took courses in logic instead. Silly me? See The Abolition of Man by C.S. Lewis for more on this. http://samizdat.qc.ca/cosmos/philo/AbolitionofMan.pdf Reguarding "Sticky Fingers" by L. Neil Smith (Issue 825) Mr. Smith reports that the problem turns out to be confusion and messages passing in the night, and all is now resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
