the White House, another attempt to limit the power of the Second Amendment to protect the

Not a bad winter this year. So far. Been wanting to write
another piece for the Norseman's Diaries but it will be hard to justify the
time and energy—at least until Norseman's Hell decides to show some more
teeth to make such an article worthwhile. Which it may yet do as while the
above normal temperatures in December going into the new year have helped me
greatly by running out the clock on winter—there are still two more months
left of it and even March can get downright treacherous and nasty.

17th Century "Assault Weapons"

First, the very term "assault weapon" is a nonsensical phrase
intended to cause confusion amongst the members of the public who aren't familiar
with firearms, specifically to incite fear of said firearms amongst those same
people. With that out of the way, let's talk about the inane notion that "the
Founders didn't forsee today's weapons such as the AK-47 or AR-15 — thus the
Second Amendment only applies to single-shot muskets and flintlocks."

Bless His Heart

God Bless Barack Obama! He is going to use his executive authority to
issue new gun control regulations. God bless him. Okay Mr. Perez, this is obviously a Crazy
Al letter. Why would anyone who claims with any kind of honesty to support gun rights bless
Mr. Obama for announcing executive orders to enforce gun control? Because this makes it that
much clearer that the election of 2016 is about victim disarmament vs. gun rights. This
improves the chances that gun rights becomes the one issue on which there is no compromise.
Taxes, welfare, reproductive rights, all negotiable. But on guns the Democratic Party will
not make a deal, they will be pushing for a ban of all private ownership period.

A marvelously funny and sarcastic article which showed up
in my in-box this week is "Wayne Allyn Root on Donald Trump"
from The Daily Telegraph newspaper.
An excerpt:
Trump's election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed
many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to
prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and
gets a look at "the cooked books" and Obama's records, the
game is over. The gig is up. The goose is cooked.
Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in
prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for
losing $1.5 billion of customer money.
Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails,
or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while
secretary of state, or for "misplacing" $6 billion as the
head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi.
The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up
in prison.
Obamacare will be defunded and dismantled.
The Obama crime family will be prosecuted for crimes
against the American people. And Obama himself could wind
up ruined, his legacy in tatters.
Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will
go after everyone involved—just for fun. That will all
happen on Trump's first day in the White House. Who knows
what Trump will do on Day 2?
