A Frolic in Fort Collins
by L. Neil Smith
Not sharing the late Isaac Asimov's basically Progressive-era
statistical beliefs concerning human behavior in the aggregate—multiplying
variables does not make them easier to sort out—I draw absolutely no
conclusions whatever from yesterday's events in Iowa.

The Ory-gun Show & Tell
a work of fiction by Paul Bonneau
Old John sat in his favorite chair, reading about the Sandinista
Revolution in Nicaragua. The book explained that when the young kids decided to do
some revolutionary stuff in the towns, they would all cover their faces with bandanas
like the outlaws in an old American western, so the tyrant Somoza's thugs could not
identify them for reprisals. He put the book in his lap and mumbled, "Hmmm..." When
he woke up the next morning, getting stiffly out of the chair, he knew what he was going to do.

Being Played
by Jim Davidson
Suppose you are one of the billionaire puppet masters. You've known
since 2008 that the system is unsustainable. You know that the central bank manipulations
and "quantitative easing" have all been stop-gap measures meant to extend the huge transfer
of wealth to the top 0.1% of people. You know that negative interest rates and zero interest
rate policies cannot help and almost certainly hurt the economies of the countries where
they are being used. You know that tens of millions of American, tens of millions of
Europeans, and billions of people worldwide are out of work, and angry. You know that your
wars have been very profitable for you and very harmful to many others. People everywhere
are very angry and justifiably want blood. The blood they really want is yours.

A Golden Oldie
by L. Neil Smith
Before I start this, I want to make one thing clear. The great Ayn
Rand was not without her foibles. She used to entertain fleeting enthusiasms, it says
here, which she attempted to integrate into her philosophical and political machinery,
so that if you didn't like the tap-dancer of the month, say, you were somehow low and
unworthy, a second-hander. I'm writing this simply to share something I've run
across recently that I think is nifty. If you disagree, it's okay with me.

Start packing, Free Staters, it is time to move!
At 11AM this morning, Free State Project president Carla
Gericke announced the FSP had reached its goal of
recruiting 20,000 participants. Here is her speech from
this morning's press conference held at the Radisson Hotel
in the Queen City.
Five years ago, when I became president of the Free State
Project after having organized two Porcupine Freedom
Festivals, aka PorcFest, now one of the largest liberty
gatherings in the world, the signer counter stood at
nearly 11,000.
I calculated that all things being equal, we would Trigger
the Move in 2018, and with 5 years for signers to move, it
would be 2023--and I would be in my fifties!--before I
would see the full effects of our historic mass migration
movement.
