Neil Smith Don't forget that Facebook allegedly began as a (literally) sophomoric university web site for rating the appearance of coeds—with their portraits appropriated and reposted without their knowledge or permission. (From Wikipedia: "Zuckerberg wrote a program called Facemash on October 28, 2003, while attending Harvard University as a sophomore (second year student). According to The Harvard Crimson, the site was comparable to Hot or Not and used "photos compiled from the online facebooks of nine houses, placing two next to each other at a time and asking users to choose the 'hotter' person"") Zuckerberg's morals have not changed appreciably. He just has more money to indulge his anti-individualism.

Lately electric utilities have taken to paying off legislatures to make it illegal to "get off the grid", impose taxes on solar panel users to be used to reimburse utilities for lost income, and raising rates on panel users "to cover expense of being hooked to the grid" for when they have to draw power from the grid. This last is kind of fair, but the goal of the utilities has been to cripple the solar panel industry, not justice. "A violent revolution is certainly a difficult thing to control, a limited strategy for change, and is unlikely to bring about overall good results." Couldn't agree more. It's tough for puppet masters to control, and it has wrecked many a revolution, corrupting them into "meet the new boss same as the old boss" coup d'etats that can lead to even nastier tyrannies than the one being overthrown. Force, or violence should be used to protect revolutionary change achieved peacefully, not as the means of change. In fact, check every successful revolution and you will see that the revolutionaries were not fighting to gain rights or change the system but to defend what they already had. A.X. Perez

He will visit the CERESO Prison there and then say a Mass near the Border for migrants. Right now the big problem in this area is a bunch of Central American kids (and some of their Moms) running from drug wars in their home countries and seeking refugee status. The US Government denies that the countries in question are having a problem with drug wars and is sending the kids home. I realize that many people have issues with open borders, but there is something wrong with denying refugees refuge because you don't want to admit your programs to control the drug trade aren't working. BBC History Magazine has an interesting article on the American Gun Debate. Extremely neutral and well written, it ultimately concludes that it is about a difference in how the two sides perceive the relation between the government and the people and where they want that relationship to go. Bernie Sanders has apparently been robbed of his primary victory in New Hmpshire. Perhaps it's time the DNC admit the fix is in. they can stop wasting money on the Presidential Primaries and put it aside for the general election. There is no truth in Pravda, no news in Izvestia, and no democracy in the American Democratic Party. So... let's put a little pravda in our national political conversation. He voted for gun rights in two landmark decisions and had also challenged the NSA's abusive surveillance policies. This raises a plethora of questions about his successor (my neck is quite lacking in feathers, like any self-respecting vulture). Will Mr, Obama try to appoint a successor? How progressive will this appointee be? Who would Hillary, Bernie, the Donald, Ted Marco, etc. appoint? Will the new SCOTUS member go all Thomas a Becket to whoever appoints him to the Court and put Constitutional rigor over ideology? These are interesting times.
