THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE Number 877, June 19, 2016 "Gun control is the idea that it's better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand."—T.D. Melrose Attribute to L. Neil Smith's The Libertarian Enterprise Since the terrorist shootings in Orlando (where the modern concealed- carry movement actually began in the early 1970s) the "Progressive" bonnet-bee that we should simply skip around that pesky old Constitution, with its Bill of Rights, and even worse, its nasty Second Amendment, has become highly fashionable among the mentally and morally challenged on the Left. Some socialist morons, abysmally ignorant of history, even suggest repealing the Second Amendment, unaware (A) that it protects a human right that already existed thousands of years before the Constitution, and (B) that the Bill of Rights was ratified as a block—repeal one, you repeal 'em all—on which ratification of the entire document was contingent. No Bill of Rights, no Constitution. No Constitution, no government. No government, no power. If you repeal any part of the Bill of Rights, you're repealing the one and only source of the government's authority. Say goodbye to Presidents, Vice Presidents, Senators and Congressthings. Say goodbye to cops and soldiers, It's all over and you did it yourself. To yourself --like so many other disasters afflicting this civilization. While whiny politicians and paltry pundits try to blame what happened in Orlando on gun owners and conservatives, anyone with a single functioning brain cell knows that although the gunman, a religious cootie of the first order, is responsible for having pulled the trigger, liberals put the opportunity in his evil, stupid, and insane hands, by tolerating—encouraging—yet another "gun free zone" in which innocent people may be freely slaughtered. Every such death, every drop of innocent blood, is on their oh, so "humane" hands. We who stand adamantly by the individual right to own and carry weapons do have recourse. In the 14th Amendment, there is the provision that any member of the government caught in an act of rebellion against the Constitution—which advocating or promulgating "gun control" certainly amounts to—will be removed from his or her position, stripped of all pension and benefits, and barred from ever holding any kind of office again. Say goodbye, Barry. In United States Code, Title 18, Sections 241 and 242, there are provisions for imprisoning and fining politicians who attempt and conspire to deprive anybody of their rights "under color of law". That's exactly what is being done right now and what must be stopped. These laws must be enforced. That they are not enforced is a criminal offense in itself. A single count can cost the felon ten years. How about a single count apiece for each American they're trying to deprive? How about ten years—times 330,000,000 Americans? That's Chuck Schumer behind bars for three billion years. These laws, passed after the War Between the States, are about 150 years old, so the fines are trivial to these Marxoid criminals, always wealthy as Croesus.. How about expressing them in terms of the value of the dollar when the laws were first passed—when gold was $20 an ounce? This would pay handsome reparations to everyday gun owners whose lives they've deliberately soured for 60 years. How's that for redistribution? The question arises: where shall we put these miscreants while they serve their multi-billion-year sentences? I have a perfect idea: a modern prison for bureaucrats, politicians, and felonious police officers, constructed especially for them on the island of Alcatraz, in San Francisco Bay. There was once a famous federal prison there, but it only housed a few hundred prisoners. I have in mind to cover every square foot of the island, following every inch of the shoreline, with a mighty new building 100 stories tall, made of thick black glass, All prisoners would be held in solitary confinement, and exercised for an hour a day on a thick glass roof—without any guard rails, of course; the winds get very powerful that high in the bay—they can throw themselves or each other off if they grow tired of their circumstances: three plain, boring meals a day, no contact with the outside, no view of the outside, nothing to do, no reading material, only the incessant drone of a heavily glass-armored television, telling them over and over again, 24 hours a day, why they're here. Just in case somebody finds a way out, tourists will be encouraged, at a small fee, naturally, to feed meat slightly past its sell-by date, to the many sharks who swim the waters nearby. There will be a special suite named after Hillary Clinton, whose crimes we've listed here many times before. The TV will show her victims parading past. There would be another suite for Bill Clinton, too, far away at the opposite end of the building (he'll probably thank us for that—but should we be that kind to him?) and one for Barack Obama. Following the example of her mentors, and fully under due process of law, Elizabeth Warren will be hauled, as publicly and humiliatingly as possible, from whatever spider-hole she 's hiding in, in leg irons and belly chains, tried, like her predecessors, in Nuremberg, Pennsylvania, and incarcerated in New Alcatraz, never to see the world—or be seen by it—again. She'll never know that the lag in the next cell over is Jeh Johnson, former DHS fascist bully and threatener. Too bad: they're a perfect pair. Any other politico—Mitch McConnel, for example, even former Governors Gary Johnson or William Weld—who knuckles under to the victim-disarmers will be hunted down by the law, as well. Now, where do you stand, Donald, and since when does it even approach legality or due process to secretly put people on a list and deprive them of the right to travel by air—and possibly to buy guns? What the bloody hell do you think "shall not be enfringed" means? The great black prison looming over the bay—think of the postcard possibilities—will stand as an imposing monument to the fangs of freedom and justice, and as a dire warning to those who are attracted to power through naked opportunism. Once again, San Francisco will boast a thousand gun-shops. I will gladly spend the years I have left getting that 100-floor facility built and populated. In the Great Venn Diagram of Life, the overlap between Americans who own guns and Productive Class Americans is just about 99.99 percent. The current Marxoid drive to strip them of their weapons has nothing whatever to do with radical Islam or recent mass shootings (although it clearly makes them much easier and more likely), and everything to do with rendering "We, the People"—who really own the country -- helplessly plunderable. I pointed out some forty-odd years ago that, in Congress and the legislatures, the most enthusiastic gun-grabbers are always the most voracious tax-and-spenders. That's no coincidence. The modern Marxoid motto is "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his—or her—political power." It's time to send these parasites to prison.
