The Incredible Hopelessness of America's Gun 'Conversation' This is interesting, but I can't say I agree completely. Or rather, I can believe that a lot of the liberal rank and file (no rule of human nature is universal) have the particular moral deficiency noted herein. But I also believe that they are nurtured, and then exploited, in that deficiency by their progressive leaders, who lack even the exaggerated sense of moral justice of their followers and are interested only in personal aggrandizement. Strange that we would come to completely opposite opinions on this. To me, the election is completely irrelevant to RKBA. Certainly some laws may be passed (either way), but what value laws that nobody pays attention to? RKBA depends not on who gets into office, but whether enough gun owners are willing to flout laws and kill anyone who comes to confiscate guns. Either we are worthy of liberty or we are not. Time to find out, eh? Despite my anarchy, I see some point in voting for Hitlery. There is no candidate who will more likely kick revolution off with a bang, and revolution (or secession) is something this country desperately needs. I see a point in voting for The Donald as well. Unlike your list of things that don't matter, nuclear war with Russia is the number 1 issue. RKBA won't matter if we are all dead. The Donald is apparently less likely to fall into that, than neocon Hitlery is. I still haven't decided, but I may take exception to my anarchist proclivities and vote, on the off chance that nuclear war is somewhat less likely with The Donald, which I believe it is. But if he is dumb enough to accept a neocon VP from the establishment, I will give up on him as well. He would be assassinated on his first day of office, if not before then. Paul Bonneau

Just click the red box (it's a button!) to pay the author This is where I'll make the discussion public. Nicki Stallard and I have discussed producing a feature-length documentary on the debate about self-defense using firearms, and focusing particularly on the Pink Pistols. My initial instinct is to call it "Gays with Guns." I have reached out to a few prominent people but I'm getting resistance. I conclude this subject is a hard-sell. So here's my question. Should we crowd-fund this? My experience as the producer/writer/director of two narrative feature films tells me it would take a minimum of $1 million to do it right to interest distributors and film-festivals—adequate crew, travel budget, not just be talking-head interviews, music buys, purchase of news footage. And everyone making a real film has bills and must get paid. I have credits as both a filmmaker and activist, speaker, and writer on this subject—see my Charlton Heston-praised book Stopping Power: Why 70 Million Americans Own Guns, a free PDF download from my Gun Defense website at http://www.gunclock.com Thoughts?
