EDITORIAL MATTERS If you haven't read/voted go read What Shall I Write Next? by L. Neil Smith. We often hear about how starting/running a business can be a nightmare. Here is a report about just that: Our Government, Destroyer of Jobs And look at this this: Seventh Circuit Court Judge Richard Posner this week: "I see absolutely no value to a judge of spending decades, years, months, weeks, day, hours, minutes, or seconds studying the Constitution, the history of its enactment, its amendments, and its implementation. Eighteenth-century guys, however smart, could not foresee the culture, technology, etc., of the 21st century. ... Which means that the original Constitution, the Bill of Rights ... do not speak to today." This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States
which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all
Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the
Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme
Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall
be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or
Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
Since Judge Posner has sworn a mighty oath to support and defend this constitution—for which he express contempt, so he obviously has no intention of supporting or defending it—it looks to me like he just resigned his judgeship, due to inability to follow his oath. Am I right? Or what?
